A friend had this argument with me recently, I told her that men and women like different things, it was about shooters, and she told me is because girls are being told not to play.
I asked her who told her she can't play? So she called me hysteric. Shortly after her husband made fun of religion and conservatives, although unrelated to gaming.

The problem is that it made it so that I see a lot of smart people just copy leftist talking points about women in X and how they are a victim without realizing that no one ever told them not to do X or that X already had a lot of well written women.
This one was particularly infuriating because she plays videogames for a long time, she started wow back in burning crusade I think and we played wow, diablo, lol together. Not only no one told her to go back to the kitchen but everyone was treating her nicely, including farming for her in wow. But that does not stop her for saying that "women are not welcomed in gaming" crap.
As a life long gamer and comic book guy I always saw women who were interested in the hobbies, but not in the same numbers as men. I’ve always been a nerdy black guy and have loved sci-fi and fantasy since childhood. Not many blacks are into that stuff but nobody ever stopped me from reading Tolkien, Heinlein, Asimov, etc. I enjoy an occasional romance novel which is very female dominated. Nobody stops me from reading those.

They pull this shit with literally everything now. No need to refute evidence for inherent differences in aptitude, temperament, behavior, etc. based on demographics. Leftists just point to a disparate outcome, pretend to investigate the cause, and literally always arrive at the same (predetermined) conclusion: it’s racism, sexism, homophobia, etc.

I just graduated from a law school that is 60 percent women, and which like all of academia these days is in a constant race to the bottom to cater fully to every new and continuing SJW demand, and yet the minority girls from my 1L section still did a big viral photo shoot of themselves in suits, preening around in various parts of the school, that they posted all around social media with the tagline “we’re women of color, doing all the things they told us we couldn’t do.” And that was two whole years ago, long before we all actually graduated.
Bar exam is in two weeks though, hope they pass LOL, because the only prople that can actually “tell you you can’t” be a lawyer are the bar examiners!

For a mostly uninterested-in-sports relative of mine, the giveaway was the goalkeeping. He said if all the outfield players are proportionally slower and weaker than their male counterparts, he could kinda be fooled into thinking he was watching a similar game, but some of the goalies can barely cover a quarter of the goal.
Nobody really wants to watch women's soccer if it's hateful lesbians playing a sport badly. Women's soccer only took off in the US because the women's team everybody remembers was really good (for a women's soccer team) and had several hot players.
But they were on the video game due to a huge demand right?? Right????
