The last few years have caused me to re-evaluate what I consider to be intelligence. People who mindlessly and arrogantly went along with every bullshit government and media narrative, from George Floyd to covid to Ukraine, are no longer what I would consider intelligent. I’ve moved most of them into the category of “competent” with some of them being “hyper competent” (a label I reserve for the type of person who can perform brain surgery but cannot recognize simple patterns in media).
