I personally don't really believe that the pre-op suicide rate is actually that high, because I think 99% of trannies are just clout chasing trenders and don't actually have anything wrong with them aside from a pathological need for attention. I think the post-op rate is probably pretty high when the gravity of what they did to themselves sinks in, but it's such a politicized issue we won't likely know the truth for another twenty years.

If someone stops reporting to their doctor (y'know, stops getting their hormone regimen which they need to stay "transed"), they don't count as detransitioning. The only ones who count are the ones that take the time to go to the doctor and say, "oh hey doc, I'm not transgender anymore. Thanks though!"
Also, suicides don't count as a detransition. They were clearly happy with the process and merely wanted to die as their fake sex.

As a society we've tacked on social status and other benefits to an existing cult clique. The suicide attempt rate in the US is not comparable to Denmark by any quantifiable measure, what the study DOES show is that troons universally commit and attempt suicide at the same rate as severe mental illnesses regardless of country.

The US ones are semi debatable because of 1. Methodology, 2. Dropout rate, and 3. Length of study. I think it was the Canadian one that had a silent 50% dropout rate that was never followed up on. I never cared about the 41% meme because that was over suicide attempts over actual deaths. Under that metric women Attempt suicide more than men despite being less that 25% of actual suicides. What is shown in all the data though is that troons are constantly at the same rate as severe mental illnesses for suicide, suicide attempts, and other cause death (homicide, drug overdose, etc)
So the trannies are hanging in there. Then again 4k participants and only in Denmark might tilt the results. Also at what stage of the procedure where they ? I'd assume most suicides are at the end when they realize that there isn't a promised land at the end of the rainbow.
