Cost of living? The economy? Society? Job market? Laws? Policies? Elections? Blame the w, x, y, z (straight white, male capitalists, Christians, etc etc). And then they go around selectively blaming everyone else except for banks and global mega corporations. Or any of their own corrupt politicians.
And most of all? They never, ever blame themselves (neither as individuals nor as a political-ideological group) for anything.
In the end, I think it comes down to a superiority complex. Like, exactly as you say, she never admitted fault, or apologised. Instead she doubled down, and then played the victim.
Because, I very much suspect, she genuinely sees herself as "superior" to proles like me, and so, if we won't be suitably and effectively brainwashed, then why shouldn't she treat us like utter shit? After all, us huwhite males deserve nothing else, right (as the simps today pretty much agreed)..?

Based on other details you've described, I think you're right.
It's honestly a wonder that these people manage to land paying jobs at all. I guess it doesn't help matters when the employers are just as batshit crazy and see no problem at all.
And if the thing you want to accomplish seems out of reach, try to set some smaller goal and accomplish that, then gradually work up to the more difficult tasks. It's like getting fit, or learning something new. Even just making a plan and sticking to it for a long time builds confidence.
Making a plan and never fucking talking about it.
That's the part that fails most people, especially in the social media generation. Your brain gives you roughly the same amount of positive hits and satisfaction from telling people about the plan as it does *doing the plan. Which means your lazy brain will absolutely try for the one that involves typing for 2 minutes instead of the multiweek struggle to get the same hit.
