The Minnesota Court of Appeals on Monday denied former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin’s request for a new trial, upholding his murder conviction in the death of George Floyd.
He should have left him in the car. Just let the druggy thrash about with as minimal restraints as possible and let nature take its course. The worst thing he could have done is be photographed next to the saint
The autopsy showed no oxygen deficiency in his system. His neck had no damage. A man of Chauvin's weight cannot physically suffocate a man of Floyd's size by kneeling on him in that position even if we assume he was putting his full weight on him with the intent to kill (both obviously not the case). The list goes on. There is no excuse for anyone on this board, who presumably have seen and know all of that information, to claim that Chauvin should have been charged with murder
Edit: Oh yeah I forgot the hilarious kickers that he asked to be laid on the ground and that he was saying he couldn't breathe before Chauvin laid him on the ground. Anybody who says the conviction is just is a certified clown.
This is disgusting. I have no special love for Chauvin, but the smears, attacks, and lawfare against him is absolutely absurd. He never should have been convicted of murder, much less charged federally via some bullshit fedboi bullying. He certainly did nothing worth his badge being destroyed over. Lunacy.
Is their excuse something like "Numbers are antisemitic, you cattle must remain in ignorance of them and let the Federal Reserve run the economy or else you're A RIGHT-WING FASCIST!"
Mr. Chauvin's family, which shares his name, have reported they are sterilizing themselves as we speak, and will willingly resolve to never have children so as to never pass down his name or lineage. Truly stunning and brave. His grandmother has also taken his baby photos to Kinko's to have him airbrushed out of them completely.
I can guarantee cops in many towns will absolutely get that number out of spite now that its been mythologized.
They might have buck broken America, and their own little precinct is bullied into silence, but I doubt the majority of police stations are on their side.
I don't know man... Police exists to uphold the system. Their personal opinion doesn't matter when it comes to following orders.
Police is on the government's side.
If they're told to go through DIE and sensitivity courses they will. If they're told to patrol a gay pride parade and protect nude grown men marching with raging boners in the middle of the street, that's what they'll do.
If anything, this whole Saint Floyd situation is gonna make them shy and likely to use necessary force when dealing with black thugs.
Nobody is gonna pick up that badge number intentionally.
This is the same kind of thinking where Liberals say "the military has tanks, your guns can't stop them!" wherein anyone else knows half the military is looking for a reason to shoot the government despite being on their dime.
Major police stations are absolutely strictly controlled and likely broken by the constant empathy training courses. Most stations are not that, its filled with a handful of random dudes who are much more likely to be screaming "dumb nigger deserved it" over this than agreeing with the verdict because they are too small to matter to the elites. The types of cops who use Punisher logos unironically and faked enforcing lockdowns more than they absolutely had to.
Police aren't your friend in any sense, but tarring them as exactly the same isn't going to get us anywhere either.
It definitely sucks to get railroaded by a legal system more worried about it's image problems than actually dispensing justice. Then again, I wonder how many citizens Officer Chauvin assisted in railroading and if he spared them any thought when he heard the steam-whistle around the bend..
There will be Chauvin-related or Chauvin-adjacent news every few months or so for the remainder of his sentence. Gotta keep the martyrdom of St. Floyd in peoples’ consciences. Choosing to retire his badge number isn’t totally crazy I guess, but physically destroying his badge and writing a news story about it in the major newspaper for the area feels a little religious. But of course as we well know, Chauvin is one of the devils of a new civic religion.
chauvin did nothing wrong
What timing...
Looking at the ruling, they do go through the specific claims one by one. Not sure why the article quoted that line alone.
You know why.
He should have left him in the car. Just let the druggy thrash about with as minimal restraints as possible and let nature take its course. The worst thing he could have done is be photographed next to the saint
obvious sham trial.
The motherfucker (Floyd) swallowed a huge amount of fentanyl. That's why he stopped breathing
Yep.

Because nobody ever gets imprisoned incorrectly, right?
This is trial by ordeal-tier medieval crap... which means that by 1216, the medievals were more advanced than we are now.

That's Numberwang!
Are they gonna kill all of his relatives and burn his house to the ground and salt the earth while we’re at it?

They better not go to Louisiana, where its such a common surname there is a town named Chauvin after them.
Its a shithole by the way.
I mean ideally they would still have kids and then just give them over to be ritualistically sacrificed but I guess this is a start.
Someone make a cop show: 1087 Badge of Justice
move over 1488, there's a new sheriff in town
We're gonna 1087 our way to 1488.
We need to 87 a lot more roadbumps first
You mean 86 some 13s.

Yeah it's highly likely he fucked a bunch of people over as a cop. Just, Saint Floyd wasn't among them.

The police department having a ceremony where they raise his badge up to the rafters like they do when they retire a hockey player's number.
Absolutely nobody cared or knew untill Proglodytes decided "let's ban one more thing" and included it in an NPC patch.
