Criticism goes one way. Consumers, purchasers, buyers. They get to criticize the thing they are considering for their investment. Producers? They do not get to criticize their audience. They don't. That IS an attack, that IS 'Woke' entitlement.
The attempt to normalize the state of 'choosing your audience' is why you will perpetually fail to understand why you even fail.

It's been a growing trend for a while but really hit a lot of peoples' radar when the Mass Effect 3 ending failed to land in any respectable manner. While eventually the ending was tweaked, I'm not going to say it was "fixed" because the ending is still retarded, it took a lot of backlash and bridge burning to get there.

Jimmy Olsen, Mary Jane Watson, Ariel, Iris West, Wally West, April O'Neil, Rudy and Rex from Invincible, Heimdall, Alicia Masters, Red from Shawshank Redemption, Hawkgirl, Starfire, Triss Merigold, and many, many more.
All redheads originally and most recently cast with black actors in productions often so subpar that actual fan made films end up looking better in terms of quality.
They're straight up admitting that redheads are being replaced with blacks and resorting to whataboutism.
Also a blonde or brunette actress can dye their hair or wear a wig and still look like the character they’re portraying. Shanequa can’t paint herself White for an entire movie without looking like an abomination.

Okay, that's fair. But they do have a grooming issue. They are way above the average for the thing they say doesn't happen, yet just keep happening.
I know there are horrible people are in every group, but they're way above the average for it.
I guess my takeaway from this should be, it feels like on the right, you see things, you call it out.
On the left, you have to imply what the other is thinking, and then get as far as calling them a bigot for thinking what you think that they think. But never once try and see it from their perspective and understand why they might believe that.
It's all very tiresome.

The one who created this meme acts like there isn’t a legitimate discussion to be had about massively over representing certain groups or marketing to people who generally don’t consume your product. Add that to the strategy of taking an old story and making the characters black/female/gay. As for the lgbt aspect, considering the population size I think it’s just as legitimate to ask why there is so much focus as there is to ask why every character has to be black or why make dominated hobbies have to be “fixed” by adding women.

I think every woman in a position of corporate power today was put there for optics and are thus, entirely, incompetent for their jobs.

The reasonable and fair women are also not being promoted for competence (although they're less likely to be in the top tier of performers either) so you'll never see them in charge, even if they exist.
