If you worship humans who kill off babies to fix a problem they created
You are in a death cult
If you pretend that you can mutilate children to make them healthier
You are in a death cult
If you only get rewarded for your loyalty after you celebrate the deaths of the innocent
You are in a death cult
She could’ve at least been more original than that. I’ve heard better insults.
Of course she is edgy for bashing Christianity. Now I want to ask her to “roast” Mohammad
There's nothing edgy about it. The left stopped being the edgy rebels a long time ago but they never grew out of that mentality. They're the squares that they think they're rebelling against.
I was being sarcastic because she probably does think she was being rebellious and edgy.
Oh! Oh! I can do both!
If you incentivize people to blow themselves up to kill random people to impose your religious order: you're part of a death cult.
If you think it's not crazy to murder someone for drawing a picture of Mohammed: you're part of a death cult.
If you worship a man who fucked a 12 year old (married at 9): you're part of a pedophile cult.
If you try to become an active shooter at a "Draw Mohammed Day" event and get shot by the police for it: you're part of of a death cult and you deserved what you got.
Well done sir
Oh cool now do the talmud.
~crickets~
Yes it's true. Retards are everywhere, even among atheists.
Also you need better friends
Ratios, the amount of “retarded” atheists make up the majority of the communists, socialists, LGBTQ, and depression/ anxiety disorders. Woke is an atheist problem that has spread like cancer.
It's one of the reasons why the communists pushed atheism in Soviet Russia. Firstly, the Marxists viscerally hated Christians and Christianity, which is why they killed so many ethnically White Christians (see: Holodomor). Second, it enabled them to enforce "the state" as the new religion.
More cult than religion, but that's six of one, half-dozen of the other where the rubber meets the road.
'social justice' started with the jesuits.
The 'new atheists' were among the first to fall, being natural allies and without defence, before GG there was elevatorgate and atheism+
The commies were always atheist too.
But look at the rituals their leaders engage in.
So yes, a lot of atheists, but I fear there are some of them with faith, just not in God.
judeo-atheism
And yet religion and ideology both require and/or promote blind faith.
Opinion discarded.
It's always amusing to me to see atheists try to make moral arguments. To be what they are requires refusing any legitimate source of morality itself. They have retarded themselves on the subject matter.
It's the dog at a keyboard meme but for philosophy.
Agreed. It's actually a bit amusing to see atheists appropriate the broad strokes of Christian morality while having no idea how incredibly different the moral landscape of Western Civilization was until Christianity came along.
Utiltarianism is ethics. Not morality. Even if utilitarianism could be means tested without washing a continent in human blood, it still wouldn't be moral. It would be what democracy is, mob rule. The whim of simple numbers posturing as morality.
I could respond to every individual point that she made, but this one sticks out to me.
If only you knew the joy that my faith in God gives me. The Kingdom of Heaven is here, not just when we die. Death cult? Ha! Who is in the death cult if God is life and sin is death?
I don't hate her any more than I hate myself, for I have been her. I pity her. I thought that I could be an atheist and just appreciate the beauty of the natural world, while denying its Creator. But, bit by bit, God called me back and replaced the insufficient faith of my childhood. I don't regret being an atheist for nearly a decade, because I believe that it was part of God's plan to replace my childhood faith with something more refined.
Ultimately, I hope that something happens to shake her out of her materialist stupor. I hope that she hears God's voice and that it hits her heart. God wants her as his daughter, even if she is blind to it.
You went from milk to meat and realized God was meat.
The problem is that the concept of heaven is very easily twisted into worship of narcissism. Very quickly it can be interpreted as loyalty to an authority, rather than pious moral conduct. You can see versions of that with Dr. Fauci and The Science. That attitude can be directly transplanted on top of Christendom, with bad Christians and Priests missing the point of responsible and righteous moral conduct.
What you hear as the voice of God, does not have to come from the Church; but many times, people like her see that it's not God speaking, it's just a man from behind the curtain.
I don’t believe atheists exist.
They have a god, it is themselves
"CM Punk's a very religious man, you know that? He worships himself." Jerry Lawler
Punk's also an avowed SJW who hijacks wrestling shows with his abortion T-shirts, so the King was right.
They exist, but they're far rarer than they would have you believe. Most of them just find another deity to worship and another religion to follow without question. The Atheism Plus debacle a decade ago showed how many "atheists" will join the Church Of Intersectional Feminism because it validates their hateful beliefs. Hell, every so often "atheist" wokies will unironically worship a group higher on the pecking order than they are. There was a thread here a while back about a bunch of simps prostrating themselves before a group of bemused women, and who could forget the demonic entity called "The Great Queer One" that they worship?
That's a Plato discussion I'd love to see.
Why do you think I believe in a God?
You chose baptism over molesting or straight up executing the kid. To them you chose incorrectly
holy shit everyone zhe came up with something no one has ever thought of before in the entire history of religion let's pay attention to it! But only for this one religion in this specific context or you're racist
Honestly, the whole Holy Trinity thing is obvious post-hoc nonsense. The value of Jesus is mostly in understanding responsibility and sacrifice.
imma say it: Catholics are weird.
This actually can be a problem among some Christians. If your kid wants to die to go to heaven, that kids not being raised right and is missing the point. The whole idea of 'heaven' as reward for piety is just another mysticism, when really you should focus on 'bringing about the kingdom of heaven on Earth' with moral actions.
When I was living in Seattle, a lot of the ideas of heaven came from trying to survive the madness. We couldn't make heaven on earth, so perhaps we could have it later. The sermons and conversations were more on surviving the evils of the world and finding happiness anyway.
Since moving to Florida it has been much more hopeful. Heaven on earth is possible, and the people strive for it.
Perhaps a useful idea I've gotten from Christians is the idea that salvation can't be done except through God. Or more importantly: you're not God, so you can't save them. If we understand God to be the manifestation of 'The Truth and Light', then you realize the message is that you can't save other people by doing anything but exposing them to truth, and then realizing when you need to go and build something for yourself somewhere else, rather than trying to help or save people who don't want to be.
That has been my attitude and why I dislike the loud Evangelicals (among other reasons). My attitude is that it is not my job to go out and find people to bring into the flock, especially since many of them are actually wolves. But if God calls someone and sends them to me, I will help them as best I can.
It's definitely rained longer than 40 days in Seattle.
Demonic fires can't be quelled by rain alone.
All of human civilization and progress can be understood as trying to survive the hell that is Earth by creating and protecting small pockets of existence for our families and tribes, making them as close to heaven as possible.
That's true.
I have a few thoughts on this. The first is that Christ taught us to learn to love the other tribes. That's the one that gets skipped a lot.
The second is about lightning pictures. I have never seen a picture of lightning striking a Jewish district in a city. It's always been weird.
The third is about how often I see people use this idea of tribes incorrectly. Every tribe strives for heaven, and then some overdo it. They can't have heaven unless another tribe or group serves them. They can't have heaven because of the limits of this earth. This is when their society breaks apart and it shows up a ton in history.
I'm not sure what you mean here.
I'm pretty sure we can find proof of lighting striking a building in Israel.
I am the temple, kingdom, and son of the Living God, bitch.
In the religion of Christ, there is utopia and afterlife after working your whole life abiding by the rules your deity bestowed upon you, your ancestors and their ancestors, despite you all being born with sin, no matter the circumstances.
In the religion of the Pop-Left, there is no utopia, no afterlife and despite working your whole life abiding by rules the flavour of the month psychopath bestowed upon you 7 hours ago, you are forever chained to sin simply because of how you were born.
Say even one bad thing about Islam or Judaism next, just one.
They do have a utopia, it's just for very few, and is only possible if everyone works for those few.
Fundamentalist Christianity is indeed a death cult, I mostly blame the Catholic church for that. That doesn't excuse the degeneracy cult the OP's flag has become.
