Am playing with Japanese voices, and have a few decades of weeb behind me to pick up a lot of common words. Can confirm there is a lot of obvious changes to the script on a basic level.
Though I've seen online the complete butchery of many of the support conversations is where the real wrongness comes in. Apparently a girl feeling insecure about looking fat isn't allowed anymore, so they had to gut it.
Fuck a vtuber. It annoys me that this trend has taken off. I can't see it as anything more than a bunch of trannies that get the luxury of making videos without having to show their disgusting faces.

I don't think that's true. I'm sure the creators take pride in the work they do, and they don't want to see some irreverent freak bastardizing that work.
They most certainly do. However I dont think they care enough to waste effort defending their honor on soil where the relevant institutions don't give a fuck.

More charitably, people form emotional/nostalgic associations with these games and they don't want to let the pozzedness stop them from continuing. That's exactly why they infiltrate and subvert existing IPs instead of making their own.

I never bought Fire Emblem Fates because they screwed the game's localization completely and they took out so much dialogue by getting rid of a game mechanic.
They only made minor changes in the localization of Fire Emblem Three Houses so I bought it.
I had a lot of fun with Three Houses.
After hearing how they screwed up the latest game, Engage, Three Houses will likely remain the last Fire Emblem game I have bought.
Fates was pretty good, but then again I played the Japanese version. If I recall the English version did not let you headpat the waifus.

Preaching to the choir here man. But it's hard for me to get into their heads as someone who can just get it at the source without any shitty localizers getting their grubby fingers on it.
I will never stop saying that anyone who likes Japanese games, anime, manga, etc should absolutely just start learning Japanese. Translations are shit and I say this as a professional translator.
Gameplay is the only reason I've ever played any of them, and it continues to improve after Awakening almost killed it entirely.
Could just be a single person repeatedly deleting his own comment in order to reword it without the asterisk showing it was modified, not realizing that we can see the "Deleted" comment. Happened to me once or twice when I first joined.

Oh, I haven't played an actual nintendo game in about 10 years (I say actual as the pixelmon minecraft mod was extremely fun, even if a few of the server owners were evil bastards for not letting me start with bug types). I think the biggest issue for them is that they have zero appeal to newer customers despite having a brand made exclusively for younger audiences. While normally I'd be against companies willingly censor their games, I also haven't ever seen a conservative play any of the new legend of zelda or pokemon games. Let the kids be kids.
