Athena Strand’s grandfather forgives FedEx driver who allegedly killed her
The grandfather of a 7-year-old Texas girl who was allegedly kidnapped and killed by a FedEx driver said that although he wants “five minutes alone in a cell with the psycho,” he forgives the heart…
This false narrative of forgiveness and compassion is insanity. Compassion is making someone acknowledge their wrongs, making restitution to those they wronged, then helping them find purpose after they have repented. “Go forth and sin no more” does not mean absolution of one’s crimes.
I'm not convinced the whole 'love thy enemies at all costs, including their continued refusal to repent for their sins, and always turn thy cheek to them when they strike thee - forget everything the Savior ever said about buying swords' thing isn't a psyop instigated by subversive agents who have wormed their way into every sect of repute over the last century and are hellbent on rendering Christianity impotent to remove a major historical opponent of Bolshevism in all its forms. I know it happened to the Catholic Church (see Bella Dodd's testimony and the entire history of 'liberation theology') and I'd assume this virus has infected the Protestant churches in a similar fashion (would explain, for example, the Lutheran obsession with flooding Minnesota with Somalis since the '90s).
Churches that offer “services” in relocating immigrants, especially illegal immigrants, are false proselytizing to make money. As much as dems cry about “mega churches” at least they aren’t human trafficking people under the guise of Christianity
You mean because they aren't Christian in the first place?
Christianity was one of the first things they subverted. When they said they marched through the institutions they meant all of the institutions.
There’s nothing Godly about bending over for people who want to murder you and rape your children, and anyone who says differently is grossly misinterpreting the word of God, righteous anger and the punishment of disgusting degenerates is both honorable and necessary. As one Christian put it: We can’t expect God to do all of the work.
Woke churches are a huge threat that is still underestimated. Look at the Jesuits and Catholics who are both at the forefront of radical leftism infiltrating Christianity.
It's not even Christian. It's actually a Socialist subversion of Christianity. Forgiveness only works after someone repents, and they still have to make amends.
Correct. Forgiveness requires absolution, absolution requires penance. Sometimes penance is death, absolution only comes from god.
Christian here.
Forgiveness is nothing without change.
Kill the murderer. God will know his own.
He is better off with a millstone around his neck and tossed into the sea, Jesus said as much - I take this to mean that such a man is already liquidated and that to dispose of him in no manner more or less cruel/humane is a simple matter of moral hygiene.
You cannot kill someone who is already dead in the eyes of the Lord, and a corpse must nevertheless be disposed of with no motivations of personal aggrandizement.
A hanging will do fine.
The father did not speak to God: godly forgiveness does not come before repentence... The murderer deserves no further consideration, only anathema. The daughter deserved better than this garbage-tier father: neither protector nor avenger nor even lamenter. Screw this guy.
I don't kill kids so I don't have to forgive kid killers for killing kids.
Perfectly put.
Forgiveness only works for sins that are self inflicted like addiction. By 'forgiving' sins where they inflict harm on another, you are giving them a pass to inflict more harm on others.
Better to just punish relating to the crime which in this case involves a rope, a drop and a quick stop.
Mercy for the guilty is cruelty to the innocent.
You can "forgive" on a personal level after justice is carried out as is necessary for the continued function of society.

I would like to believe this is an act in hopes that he will eventually get 5 minutes alone with the psycho, but we've seen this stupidity from Christians before.
And then they wonder why their churches grow empty while the mosques grow full.
Don't confuse forgiveness with indulgence. Just because you have been forgiven does not mean there is no debt of penance to be paid. You can forgive someone and still punish them for their misdeeds. It is an error and injustice not to do so, actually.
What I want to know is did he deliver the rest of his packages on time?
Oh no... My amazon package is a day late right now...
On one level, this is just a man wrestling with his conscience. But such soul-searching, if sincere, should be done in private. . What makes him wrong is his posting his deliberations on Fuckfacebook. It's one of the most disgusting cases of moral grandstanding I have ever seen, and that's saying a lot these days.
You see shit like this all over reddit. Some gangbanger piece of shit murders a guy and then years later his mother and sister make friends and forgive the ape that killed their own flesh and blood for internet goodboy points.
To forgive him or give him for....
Always forgive your enemies, but not before they are hanged.
So far no comments understand what forgiveness means. Forgiveness of fellow man doesn't require the offender to repent. However, it doesn't absolve the offender of punishment either. The grandfather forgiving the murderer is Biblical but so is putting him to death.
The reason forgiveness of others is unmerited is because Christ's gift of salvation is also unmerited. He has absolutely no obligation to save us, regardless of what we do, but He chooses to do so out of love.
