This is bad for Florida

Figures obtained by The Post show that through August, a record 41,885 New Yorkers already swapped their licenses for the Florida version, a commonly used indicator of demographic trends. That figure was 21,277 for California, 16,970 for Pennsylvania and 16,846 for Illinois.

If these are conservatives looking for greener pastures, fine. If they are leftists looking for tax relief, keep going south to Cuba.

Just as bad, honestly. Instead of having to actually do something about the shithole they've allowed to turn into a hole of shit, they run away so the cancer that is Democrat-lead cities can spread even further.

With the exception of PA, those states were lost before most of us were born.

What can be done when the vote is already perpetually stolen, or when heavy blue urban centers nuke local rule?

I mean, other than rule 2 violations, of course.

This is going to be a nationwide problem.

This is not bad for Florida as they will likely make Florida redder on net.

Most of these refugees are right-wingers running away from psycho Hochul's dictatorship.

The real bad news is that this will make Florida a vote sink when it comes to distribution of votes in federal elections.

This year's path to a house majority surprisingly relied on Lee Zeldin doing amazing in a governor race against Hochul in New York of all places and this led to the carrying of downballot races in even blue congressional districts which netted about 5 house seat flips to the GOP. Without those seats, Dems would have kept the house without breaking a sweat.

I can sympathize with fellow conservatives wanting to flee blue states but if everyone moves to Florida, it dooms the nation when it comes to federal elections.

This is only true if you think there's a political solution to socialist tyranny.

If there isn't, then consolidating people, money and resources in areas we firmly control makes excellent strategic sense in preparation for a civil war.

This. It's only been a couple days I'm already fucking sick of hearing about what Republicans can do in 2024 (spoiler alert: it's always about being more Democrat than the Democrats) and the Trump/DeSantis feud. It's all a side show because we could run a Romney/Murkowski ticket and the Dems would still cheat us out of the election. After announcing that those two are the second coming of Hitler of course.

Those of who are behind enemy lines (myself included) need to get the fuck to safety so we'll be of use when the time comes.

Indeed physical control over territory and resources is the real premium, and it's much better for it to be fortified than spread out.

It may, or may not. I do wonder if Florida has been drawing in legitimate conservatives, unlike how Texas and some Rocky Mountain states took in priced-out true blue Californians. We've apparently seen Florida become more red since DeSantis's last race, and I believe the 2020 census indicated some disproportionate growth in Florida as well.
What I would be concerned with is whether moves like this are going to lead to too many states becoming permanently blue. If Republican citizens flee from "battleground states" when they lose, those states won't be battlegrounds for too long.

They're not battleground states anymore. The Dem's cheating has ensured that. Michigan just descended into permanent communist tyranny and no one is talking about it. Asking people to subject themselves to leftist control for the sake of GOP wins that we'll be cheated out of anyway isn't reasonable.

It's fine. We already saw from this mid terms it looks like everyone moving votes red.

Re: 2022 Yankee Influx Numbers

So, they ain't endangered, and they're starting to damage the local ecosystem with overgrazing. How's about we make tourist season an actual season? I mean, you could even have an additional tag needed, and make it revenue positive!

Sincerely,

I live in Texas and I’m seeing this. Although most I’ve come across are conservatives fleeing blue states

I've seen a lot of Texans where I am. I think they're the commies who realized they won't be able to cheat their way to victory in their home state.

Step 1 - Ruin their state by voting woke.

Step 2 - Move to more conservative state.

Step 3 - Repeat from Step 1.
