It may be just a graphic update but after their ESG announcement the odds of not being woke garbage are almost none.
It's an engine update as well (UE5). No idea if they're altering mechanics or story, but I'd imagine with the comments they gave it's one or both.

I would argue Witcher 1 is one of those games that do need updated controls at least, but we all know it's just going to be about adding non-whites and fags most of all. They are located in Warsaw which is the worst city in Poland with all sorts of lefties, nigs and other freaks working there already. It all went to shit, it's a shell of its former self. It was infiltrated and destroyed from the inside.

A huge part of poolish population idolizes USA and its globohomo nigger worship. They even listen to nigger rap without shame, because it's seen as cool by the teenagers looking up to americans. There's no saving this cattle. They're too busy screaming obscenities and protesting not having abortions on demand or about how much they have donated to ookrainians (aka the same people who put their ancestors in mass graves) while the ruling party puts family members in high positions and robs whatever else is left of this country.

I'm poolish, sadly. You would be surprised how many people blindly worship ookrainians here and don't really think for themselves or how much they see USA as an idol. In fact they've been busy donating and virtue signalling non stop for past year to learn who bandera is since it wasnt really brought up in schools, it was mostly just holocaust and how much we should be proud for helping the god's chosen. They must always insert how putin and russia are bad (making up shit, accusing everyone of being a russian troll etc), these absolute niggers help people who literally replace them to feel better about themselves. They get special government programs, big sections on most poolish websites dedicated for ookrainian language, government (i think) was paying employers to hire them too, but either way they get hired and replace poles due to their low standards and expectations. We get big packs of them walking around loudly being rude to bystanders and insulting them thinking its ok because they cant understand. Can't touch them though, they're grieving packs of grown hohols (for some reason not fighting for their homeland?). The only reason globohomo is not so advanced here is due to our schools not pushing full on guilt tripping like with slavery and muh colonialism in USA... or at least it used to be. Seems to be worse now. It's getting pretty bad to the point i cut off myself from this society completely because i can't stand talking to these people. I would say many were common sense with the lockdowns, but still took the "vaccines" like a good cattle, including all people i know irl. Their will is slowly getting broken down by constant pressure and propaganda everywhere they look. Older people may be more resilient, but just look at the younger people brought up in past two decades with all this ramping up of globohomo in education, tv, internet, movies, jobs, everywhere they go. Just sad, i wish pooland was as "based" as people on internet make it out to be. I guess everything is based when your country is one foot into being a third world shithole full of pakis and nigs

I live in Łódź---It's not so bad here, and lots of people are aware of the bullshit. I'm even starting to see a lot of weariness with the Ukrainians who--for some reason--are behaving rather ungratefully and refuse to learn the local language despite it not taking much more than a few months of effort for them. We'll see where this goes, but the society around me is split between those who intensely distrust the EU and the western establishments and those who are true believers because their quality of life has gone up over the last 20 years. I don't like the second group because they are willing to sell their sovereignty for hamburger and some cheap chinese electronics.

Woke or otherwise, fuck remakes.
I was replaying it since the day before the announcement. It plays fine, probably more fun gameplay than Witcher 2 or 3 to me. If you don't like how it plays, that's fine, simply FUCK OFF, DON'T EVER PLAY IT and if you care about opposing woke bullshit also DON'T BUY ANY REMAKE OF IT, since all it is is a pretext to overwrite the legacy of a heterosexual, largely white piece of entertainment with more grrlbosses, gays, blacks and trannies.
The gameplay on the first game was a bit bad. I did not mind the almost mobile style of play but it did not allow for any skill, playing it on hard was just punishment. That is my only objection, story wise I liked it more then the other ones, one of the few times I cared for the bad guy.
Witcher 2 was the best in my opinion but I can still play the first one and like it. As others have pointed out, at the very least they will remove the sex cards and "fix" some dialogue.
The sad part is that if they do not go overboard it will end up being a success.
As I mentioned before, HOTD is much worse the ROP simply because they made woke changes and still worked, ROP was great by being one of the worse woke dumpster fires. ROP was better in that regard then I expected.
CDP were largely coming from a lineage of PC RPG design in TW1, which is why they used the NWN engine, had spacebar to pause & included a zoomed out cam that allowed boomers to play in a pseudo-isometric way, entirely mouse driven. Movement/reaction was of very low importance outside getting the combo rhythm right - almost everything else is either down to your stats, your pre-combat prep and getting your stance/skill usage right. That's fine by me, it's too easy but I at least have fun doing it. Comparatively I'm shocked how many players screw up the stance selection from the TW1 streams I've watched.
TW3's my favourite overall due to the world building, but TW1's second. I don't think it plays outright bad, it's just explicitly a different genre of gameplay from the latter two. Combat gameplay has kind of been their achilles heel across the whole trilogy, it just seems like they screwed up worse in TW1 if you go into all three expecting a pure action RPG. For me, you could put TW1's combat in 2&3 with some balance tweaks and they instantly become slightly better games because it's a farewell to rolling and quen spam which I found cancerous. I had to ban myself from using quen and tried to riposte everything I could to make TW3 combat fun, whereas I happily play TW1 on hard and use everything I like (although I don't go full Igni cannon which apparently is sleepwalk-tier).
The first Witcher game would actually be a great candidate for a remake if modern studios weren't so prone to injecting poz, but modern studios are prone to injecting poz so it will suck ass.
And there is our confirmation that they'll be filling it with non-whites, homos and troons.
Not that we needed it.
