AI is only a threat to writers who have nothing interesting to say. Most writers should be scared.
Regurgitating the approved political topics or whatever you're paid to promote is not creative work, so it's no wonder AI can do it.
This type of stuff always reminds me of, https://zerohplovecraft.substack.com/p/so-you-want-to-write-fiction-with, where he used a story about a father and son doing programming related to geocaching as the prompt and GPT-3 inserted a completely new underappreciated sister who actually did all the real programming. The NPC meme is real.
It would have been borrowing from a large corpus of texts it consumed from the web most likely. (but rather than simply sticking things together in a pastiche, the algorithm can identify the types of speech and general ideas in blocks of text, and create new combinations that say the same thing - like human NPCs but more intelligent)
Calling her a writer is generous, from what she’s worried about she’s more akin to a “social media manager”. Funnily enough she knew the one thing she currently has over AI which is why she plastered a massive photo of herself in the middle of her self absorbed rant.
I'd disagree there. She's not that much to write home about, and on top of that the pose and the smirk make me want to just smack her upside the head. At least in terms of looks, the big-titty AI-generated girls from a few weeks ago beat her easily IMO

I should grab an AI created photo of a woman and apply to be a writer with AI created articles...
I bet you could make a living feeding a dozen articles about current_news_topic into an AI text generator, using an AI-generated image to masquerade as a female news blogger, and once you had the kinks worked out with pre-publication review, just let the content mill run unattended.
That will be my hobby for next week.
Reminder that AI literally can't produce anything. "AI generated text" is just big auto-complete. The bot produces a few choices for the next phrase or sentence and a human chooses the best one.
Which is why her job is gone. She's less-competent than a form letter.
She should learn to code.
