What's the status of the head of lettuce, did it make it longer?

Edit: Yep, lettuce won. All hail the lettuce.

Anyway, I guess kudos to Liz for fulfilling her orders in record time. I'm sure the WEF will take good care of her for her services.

What's this lettuce?

Someone made a site about how a lettuce will last longer than Truss as PM, that's how short her tenure was. By some definitions she lasted 7 weeks except the Queen died on like day 2 so the first 2 weeks were all a write off. At most Truss lasted less than 30 working days I'd if even that because she repeatedly went back and forth on various issues she herself signed off on then fired those she had previously stated having "full confidence in" when the plans being carried out almost ruined the £.

In the run up to her being placed I called this a glass cliff situation and that's precisely what it turned out to be, much like with May who only became PM because no other mp was suicidal enough to be the one to trigger Brexit.

The Daily Star newspaper has a YT livestream of a head of lettuce they bought from Tesco, I think, a week ago, to see whether the “head” will outlast Truss…

Turns out, it did!

Don’t worry, I was equally confused, before I found out what they meant/was provided with the clip.

I’m sure someone here has the link.

Some UK tabloid had a livestream of a head of lettuce laying on a table, trying to see whether it lasts longer than Truss. The lettuce did last longer. There's some info about it here: https://archive.ph/t171y

Good because she was a fraud but also wtf, how is this political party so shambolic?

They've been subverted by globalists.

They had to be destroyed as retaliation for Brexit and to get a far-left government into power next election.

Labour will win in such a landslide in the next election that they can codify all their far left desires into a fully written Constitution.

BTW Britain's constitution till now has not been codified into one written document.

The U.K. is likely going to get much worse when Labour wins.

I pray for all the based people stuck in the U.K.

You guys are certainly going to need God after Labour comes in.

Who the heck doesn't have a single written constitution? That seems quite strange.

how is this political party so shambolic?

Simply put, they're trying to beat the UK's socialists at the socialism game. It's an utter, utter shambles.

Torched the tories, sank the pound, buried the queen. In a short 45 days. I don't know if I should be laughing or be impressed.

This era would appear to be the most politically chaotic since, well, you can argue the 1960s, but it’s looking more and more like the 30s, tbh…

I really don’t know where “we” (the West) are headed, but I am expecting utter chaos, as this sort of shit continues, and seemingly becomes more and more common…

Lol, where do you live then - Russia? 😂

I’m not saying you’re necessarily wrong. I just want to query your use of “you”, specifically…

sank the pound

Globohomo shorted the pound because she dared approve a Reaganomics tax plan.

Yeah, as a “stupid Australian”, I completely agree.

Unfortunately we have a lot of “free market” obsessed Americans, here, who somehow think that “tax cut” must automatically be a good thing, regardless of context…

I think quite a few people here don’t quite understand just how mad that “mini budget” was, or are willfully misinterpreting the stupidity and sheer hubris of her plan…

Truss goes down as the worst P.M. in U.K. history and she only was in the position for 45 days!

What a record.

she only was in the position for 45 days!

First 2 weeks aren't worth counting due to the Queen dying and every fucking thing getting put on pause. That time ended up being a blessing for Truss who wasn't being scrutinised yet.

This whole “not being a functioning government” thing is really working out well for them, hey??

Absolutely fucking insane…

Even Australia is not this politically unstable… Which is an achievement and a half!

Welcome to why you don't ever trust the bubble to choose leaders, because they end up being extremely ineffectual outside it.

This is why Labour are in the lead, the Conservative voters base won't vote for a party they have no faith in and events like this don't instill confidence.

The Tories leadership contest procedures are a joke.

The membership is forced to choose between two shills that the corrupt MPs put up.

A choice between Truss and Sunak is choosing between drinking piss or eating shit.

The Tory membership should be the only ones choosing the Tory leader.

I completely agree, but, as someone who has actually worked in the system of party politics (different country, same shit), I am afraid that this simply does not happen. Ever. In any major party.

It hasn’t since at least the 1960s in Australia. I imagine the UK is similar, if not worse…

They know that if they allowed that, their vested interests and donors would completely lose control, and we simply cannot have that, now can we?!

The Tories created a 'non-crime register' to intimidate people over wrongthink on Twitter (most notably over transsexuals) and they let the transgender mania run rampant through institutions, universities and schools.

And what did they do during the faux-BLM protests in the UK? They let those pseudo-Americans run through the streets largely unopposed.

And they never had any intention to close the borders and limit immigration. Truss wanted to increase it by millions even.
