Are saying that perhaps peoples who endpoint is surgically removing your genitals, and replacing them with non-working fascimiles of the other genders, may have more in common with the devlish side of things than the good side?
This is why church attendance in the US is plummeting, with the churches abandoning their morals and traditional values in favor of moar inclusion of post modern hedonism.
Continuing on this path will lead to further erosion of Christian church influence in western society as they have no faith to offer about anything and as they preach tolerance of everything, no matter how odious and unnatural.
There's another side where those that want to prove their devotion make up rules. The biggest excuse is so they can do nothing. They're being brave and devout by attending church and demanding people follow their stricter and stricter rules.
Those in church don't realize the same thing is happening in the political circles as well.
Sort of like how communists show poor people and say it would never happen like this in socialism.
But attending church and policing the lives of others doesn’t bring salvation. Christ commands us to serve those in need. But I do feel you aren’t doing someone a favor if you condone things just so you can have the right approval
It depends very much on both the church and the denomination, with Catholic churches generally being the worst. But churches usually reflect the local population more than anything, either wholesale, or with the population split between congregations.
For example, I have several churches in my town with values across the complete spectrum of today's politics. One always supports the current thing on their sign out front, with messages about Floyd, BLM, vaccines, Ukraine, and so on. Another referred to Biden as an example of a literal demon during service a few Sundays ago, and urged everyone to support the red wave. The first church is Methodist, and the second is Baptist, so denomination only tells you so much about a church and its congregation.
Isn’t the Bible pretty clear on that. Adam and Eve? But then again people love to explain why the Bible condones whatever the latest fad is. Of course these people aren’t Christians but they love to use it to justify their nonsense
I’ve heard that. Just like they say “Jesus never mentioned homosexuality so it’s okay”. Well he did say a man shall leave his house and find a wife so I guess he would be cancelled?
He also didn't mention furries or the console wars. He did mention that people should follow rules of the land, and not use them to set a trap for others.
Very true. I know I have my own sin and I know we shouldn’t be judgmental but I do get tired of seeing people try to say the Bible justifies the latest fad
I've learned a lot of judgement is pharisees saying you need to follow more rules, unless you know the ways around like they do, or the rules don't exist at all and people are foolish to follow them like the Sadducees.
What I love about that argument is if I’m not mistaken Jesus points out several Old Testament laws like the dietary laws and saying that it’s fine. But Jesus never mentions homosexuality…. Would that not imply that that law hasn’t changed?
"The destruction of those cities is often seen as God's condemnation of homosexuality. But it could be read as a lesson in welcoming the stranger.
"When we look at a passage like Sodom and Gomorrah, we're looking at the places where — where might we still be inhospitable to people today?" asks Kearns. "Are we benefiting from systems that are hurting other people?"
The Bible already covers in other places about welcoming strangers. The story of Sodom and Gomorrah is very specific, though.
Strange how "condemnation of homosexuality" has been the accepted interpretation for the entire history of three religions and none of the prophets that followed were ever given clarification that they were actually condemned for lack of hospitality. Especially Muhammad; he was always going off about how the People of Lut were the most evil and he never threw in a "because they were rude to out of towners by the way."
Likely leaning on the "love thy neighbor" bit. Though the bible doesn't say much about cunts who intrude on your life and demand to be praised for self mutilation. If you go by leviticus, the rules on degeneracy are pretty clear.
Your title understates the problem with the article. The very idea of a transsexual priest in Christianity seems ridiculous to me, since I don't know how you can have the necessary faith in God to be a priest, yet be so ungrateful that you reject the healthy body you were given.
Atheists and moral relativism fans like quoting John 8:7 to excuse sinning:
... He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
But forget the last part of John 8:11:
... go, and sin no more.
Either way, they have nothing but contempt for what they consider a bigoted religion, it's just a trick to get you to do what they say, as in my favorite smuggie.
For example, in Genesis, angels come to Sodom and Gomorrah, and the townspeople threaten to rape them. The destruction of those cities is often seen as God's condemnation of homosexuality. But it could be read as a lesson in welcoming the stranger.
"When we look at a passage like Sodom and Gomorrah, we're looking at the places where — where might we still be inhospitable to people today?" asks Kearns. "Are we benefiting from systems that are hurting other people?"
They seemed very welcoming. Christ said that if the miracles he performed had been done for soddom, they would have converted. I don't think it has anything to do with being welcoming.
Yeah, yeah . . . leftist fuckheads and heretical tranny false priests doing their "biblical quarterbacking," finding textual justification for this absolutely demonic mockery of humanity and creation.
Church buildings have bathrooms for men and women because they are bathrooms for human beings. If you opt out of humanity by disfiguring your genitals and/or claiming to be possessed by the opposite sex and are still too shy to use a stall, go shit in your hat (to quote Junior Soprano).
False prophets, wolves in sheep's clothing, subverters of the good and wholesome. You'll get what you deserve, eventually. Everybody does.
To hell with all trannies and their political activists . . . literally.
What a surprise, people who need to force reality to bend to their delusion are now perverting the word of God to conform to their delusion. There must be a Superhell waiting for these demons.
It says nothing of the sort. It does warn about false prophets and those warnings are proving very apt.

These people don’t want salvation, they want to subjugate others to their whims. It’s the reason I always say female subjugation fetish.

Catholic morality is set in stone. It doesn't change. What the catechism has to say on homosexuality is final.

They like to say David was secretly gay with Jonathan.

He also had the bit about millstones.

Exactly
He would be crucified, and he was.
I stand corrected

The bible says sell your daughters for a fair market value and to punish whores. It says nothing about accepting trannies.
Oh ho ho...
"But it could be read as..."
means
"I'm about to twist and torture the meaning of these words until they justify whatever depraved behavior I enjoy."
If you let these people into your church, your church is done.

eisegesis peddlers get out.
God is real and judgement awaits.
No…. No it doesn’t. also who actually listens to NPR?
