There's another side where those that want to prove their devotion make up rules. The biggest excuse is so they can do nothing. They're being brave and devout by attending church and demanding people follow their stricter and stricter rules.
Those in church don't realize the same thing is happening in the political circles as well.
Sort of like how communists show poor people and say it would never happen like this in socialism.
But attending church and policing the lives of others doesn’t bring salvation. Christ commands us to serve those in need. But I do feel you aren’t doing someone a favor if you condone things just so you can have the right approval
