This is nothing new. Dems have been threatening to withhold basic services for noncompliance with their agenda for a while now. One of their favorite tricks is taxing you to pay for services, then denying those services unless you create subsidized housing in your neighborhood. You don’t get your paid-for government services unless you import black crime.
I was on that program my entire education. Almost nothing they provide can be considered food or assistance in any way.
The "free/reduced lunch" program has always been this bludgeon the Left uses to get their way or grandstand on, when in reality it helps few people and once kids are old enough to choose most simply just stop using it entirely. Its effects are vastly overblown by using emotional images of starving children.
