That headline is the most California thing that I've read all day.

I love how Heard’s faggot lawyer called the homeless man a “house less person”.

No phone is worth my chicken tacos.

He's not doing himself any favors by laughing at that where the jury can see him.

Just saying.

How so? It's an absurd situation that you're more likely to hear told in a stand up comedy routine than a court room. If I were in there I'd probably chuckle too

Yep. When something that absurd happens, it's human to laugh. Pretending it's not funny is unnatural.

The justice system isn't human or natural, though.

I feel like this is like when you think up a crazy plan, say it out loud, and realize how stupid this is. Going through each incident in court in excruciating detail makes everyone (except Amber) realize how fucking retarded this whole situation was for 18 months. You kinda can't help but laugh, but you would have been very upset at the time.

I agree, and it frankly is kind of funny, but jury trials are all about perception. He's trying to prove that he was the victim of abuse and that his career was damaged by her defamation of his character. He already slipped up the other day by saying he wouldn't take a job doing PotC 6 even if Disney offered it to him: that gave her lawyers ammo to say "Well he's the one turning down jobs: How is that her fault?"

If the jury sees him laughing about the abuse he suffered, even something this trivial, then they're less likely to take it seriously. That shouldn't be the case, but it is.

While I'd agree with that usually, there's much more heinous evidence presented in this case, like the finger incident and her admitting she hit him.

Or the fact that she shit on the bed and blamed the dog.

Which was odd considering the dog died a year earlier. /s

I mean, it humanizes him a lot to show he can even chuckle at what an insane situation he was led into because of her insane actions. Shows he's laid back and looks back at the absurdity of not just the situation but he's saying it on the stand in a televised trial. Also shows further what a nutbar she is.

I'd like to think even the average juror can understand not want to work for a boss that already sent you packing and did everything they could to contribute to your misfortune.

Jurors are usually well below average in terms of intelligence and logic. I mean, look at the OJ trial.

After being on a jury, the majority are not so bright.... the entire group agreed it was justifiable self defense. But 10 of them wanted to still charge the guy with 2nd degree murder. Me and this other guy held out and tried to explain to them that self defense and murder doesnt go together.

Apparently, the other 10 read the judges order wrong where they thought they HAD to choose a charge lol.

We can't see the jury (on stream, you could if you got into the courthouse), so I don't know how they're reacting, but there have been multiple times when the court laughed at comments/jokes by Depp or his team's witnesses, so I doubt this is harmful to his case.
