he's never against the narrative, he just says what's becoming acceptable stance couple days before the official announcements

Not really, he’s always been a mixed bag. Which I frankly find much more “healthy” than someone who follows a certain party on everything and to the letter.

Is it really healthy when the mixed bag you believe is insane lies?

Insane lies that sometimes take the other side? What a clever tactic in deceiving us all.

how is he controlled opposition? he's leftist 95% of the time and occasionally says something centrist/slight right when it's safe to do so

Right? The guy openly supported Obama and other leftist policies.

What's his explanation for Clarence Thomas being the justice respected most by republicans?

For real. The man I hope stays on the court forever

Exactly. I hate the argument that he isn’t black since he doesn’t “represent”

Every conservative I know would like to see him as Chief Justice... and eight clones to fill the bench.

Yes, the "you ain't black" philosophy.

Most right wing people would rather have nine Clarence Thomases than the current composition.

Maher is still a corrupt retard.

If Clarence Thomas isn’t black, then “black” is officially shorthand for a specific culture. Would I be happy with no member of that “culture” sitting on the Supreme Court? Yes. In fact, I would be happy with no member of that horrifically destructive culture having any influence on any part of my life.

This is the legacy of cultural Marxism/Critical Race theory/identity politics. When race becomes synonymous with ideology, you can’t oppose that ideology without becoming “racist”. That’s the game in a nutshell. Right wingers who do not aggressively reject the left’s racism grift will be forever controlled by it.

It's amazing how willing Republicans are to turn themselves into pretzels to not be "racist." There was a school board meeting where one of the board members was going on about reading test scores being low and blaming them on parents not reading to their kids, which is some "wet streets cause rain" type thinking. Anyone who spoke the truth which is no school system with our demographics will ever have good test scores would become unelectable and unemployable. So we're doomed to eternal clown shows of people blaming everything when no problem even exists.

There's a minutephysics video on Simpson's Paradox that I'm actually a little shocked he hasn't taken down. He shows some education test scores for Texas and Wisconsin. Graphing just the test scores showed Texas with significantly worse scores. Then he showed them broken out by race and for every race Texas had better test scores for any given race. He then repeated the crimestop mantra "socio economic factors."

Oh, and another example, merit based immigration. The offspring of parents regress to the mean, which means smart parents have children that are smarter than average but less smart on average than their parents. Same thing for dumbs. The upshot of this is if Country A has an average IQ of 100 and Country B has an average IQ of 85, if A imports everyone from B with an IQ of over 115 all that will be accomplished in a few generations is to lower the average IQ of both countries.

I don't know if there's something I'm just not understanding here, but I don't see how it's possible to have higher scores in every subcategory without having higher scores in the combined category.

Without examining the data, I can't verify, but it could work out like this:

Wisconsin: 60% North European, 20% West European, 20% Hispanic
Average North European score: 100
Average West European score: 100
Average Hispanic score: 80
Wisconsin Average: 96

Texas: 20% North European, 30% West European, 50% Hispanic
Average North European score: 105
Average West European score: 105
Average Hispanic score: 85
Texas Average: 95

Also that is a pretty bad life lesson. You can’t handle any scrutiny so just ascribe it to racism or sexism

We'd be thrilled if the president would consider all possible candidates rather than excluding 94% or more based on their race or sex.

I think each and every Republican gets down on their hands and knees every night and prays the Justice Thomas lives to 130 and never experiences Biden's Disease. Thomas is one of the best examples of an American I've seen in a very long time frankly. Thomas is the son of a farm hand and domestic worker, he started out poor and ended up in his maternal grandparents and got a good education on hard work and it stuck.

Meanwhile, we have Biden breaking the 1964 Civil Rights act and rather than putting up the best person for the job he decided to pick by race and gash status. If any employer made that posting they'd be sued, but because Biden has Alzheimer's we give it a pass.
