I stopped watching when they became afflicted with TDS. I don't even really like or care about Trump, but seeing them degenerate into hatemongers made me lose all respect for them.
They've been pretty biased for a long time though. They basically shit on every president from Carter to Bush Jr., but as soon as Obama got elected they hopped on his dick and never got off, and that was 14 years ago. In two years, they'll have been DNC dickriders longer than not. Unless they stop doing it at some point between now and then, but to that notion I say "lol rofl".

I’ve been rewatching the classic seasons lately and It’s painful to think about what a shambling corpse the show has become. Even the voice acting has suffered just listen to Julie Kavner! Let the poor woman rest before her vocal chords deteriorate for God’s sake!
Its like Spongebob in that regard. Every meme or quote is decades old and people recognize it, and even those who watch it probably couldn't remember most recent episodes.
Ugh, they should have canceled the show when Matt Groening was caught getting a foot rub from a sex slave on the Lolita express, regardless if that was all he did with Epstens sex trafficking ring.
SNL has been almost cancelled numerous times, and each time a huge controversy breaks out over it and people lose their minds and threaten everyone until they undo it.
Simpsons is likely the same. They know if they try it, it'll cause more problems than it solves.
It stopped being good after season 12. I'd argue after season 7 it went from unmissable, to just watchable. After that they slid into coasting mode and have been there ever since, with the occasional episode every so often being mediocre.
A friend of mine rewatched the Simpsons from season 1 episode 1 to figure out when it jumped the shark and she said season 12 was the last good season. 3 to 7 were the best. And up until 12 were decent.
This has been a show I’ve always enjoyed. Hurts to see them doing this. They used to do a good job at equal opportunity mocking. Then again so did SNL

Good point. A lot of comedy all of a sudden decided Obama was off limits. They made some hilarious jokes about Clinton as well

I was about to argue but I had forgotten just how long this show has gone on. I was 5 when the show came out and now I have a 5 year old of my own.
It died with Phil Hartman.
Seasons 2-8 were good and it DOVE into the toilet from there
It should have ended with some dignity at Season 11 like they wanted to, Behind the Laughter was a perfect capper.

Depending on how generous you're feeling, it looks like you could put that cutoff anywhere from Season 8 to Season 14.
