Those comments are incredibly delusion, especially the ones referencing economics. The US has declared that all of Russia's reserve dollars are worthless, which directly undermines America's ultimate power of dollar hegemony. If faith in the dollar is lost, the world crashes America in a week.
Meanwhile, BRICS is solidifying into a true alliance. India feels increasingly alienated after Greta and friends tried to foment revolution, and Brazil feels similar pressure. Russia will find friendly markets in China for their power and food, which is about to increase with the Ukraine acquisition, and China has all the manufacturing they need. All these countries are increasingly wondering if the dollar has value to them at all, considering America has demonstrated it is willing to cancel them on a whim like Canadian truckers, or if they should dump their reserves while they can and wreak havoc with the resulting hyper-inflation.
Russia is already set up to trade with China and India using their own currencies. The largest country on earth, and the two largest populations on earth, are outside the sphere of influence.
But hey at least the BJ and Sir blackface are in Team USA so the tendies will print themselves.
Suddenly we are expected to believe outright /CBSnews? Now - this time, they are really telling the whole truth about anything, cross their hearts they really mean it this time -
our economy is done. our monetary system is just about finished. the USA won't be around as we know it within 10 years. our native birth rate is so low that we won't even need our own country in a few generations.
Russia basically has a monopoly on European energy. A majority of of the oil and gas comes from Russia. That was going to change in the late 90s, several middle eastern countries had proposed pipelines to compete. Roughly a decade of destabilization later, it boiled down to a Saudi/Israeli pipeline and a Iran-Iraq pipeline, both going through Syria. Shortly before Syria imploded (or, more accurately, was imploded) a CIA front company called genie energy "discovered" what is supposedly the world's largest oil/gas reserve under the Golan Heights. Unfortunately, Syria wasn't great friends with Israel and told them to kick rocks. Russia had come on board as kind of a silent partner to the Iranians and their pipeline because the two countries have a kind of profit sharing agreement in which Russia doesn't stand to lose as much of the market, and Iran makes Bank. Both pipelines need to pass through Syria, and Assad is friendly to Russia. Therefore, the US government started a civil war in Syria to replace Assad with a pro Israel puppet, which drew Russia in to prop up their ally.
Fast forward to today, the US is trying to make Ukraine a NATO member in violation of treaties and the Ukrainian constitution (they they're "legally required" -lulz- to remain neutral for exactly the reason I'm a about to describe.) We want them in NATO so that the puppet regime is there to greenlight the Israeli pipeline as soon as Syria is finished (which implies that they have something big planned for Syria); and as a NATO member, they're backed by the full protection of the rest of NATO. Russia wants ukraine so the war in Syria becomes pointless. If Russia controls Ukraine, even if Syria falls, Russia can still block basically any pipelines it wants that are coming out of the middle east. If NATO "takes" Ukraine, Russia has to prop up Syria indefinitely. This also explains why Israel has such a vested military interest in Ukraine, to the extent of having had "mercenaries" on the ground, and arming the Azov battalion.
TL;DR Saudi Arabia and Israel want to build a pipeline into Europe and it would fuck the Russian economy into outer space. Russia and America can continue pissing around in Syria in perpetude, but if Russia controls Ukraine, Syria is meaningless; and if that were to happen, then Israel wouldn't get their way. So, yes, real people don't care, but Joe "you don't have to be jewish to be a zionist" Biden, and the zionist deep state running western governments don't really care that you don't care; they just need you to be prepared to go out and die for muh greatest ally in the next global brother war.
Russia is expected to seize Kyiv in the next 4-6 weeks.
The war overall is likely to last 10 or 15 or 20 years
What is the logic here? They're going to set up a breakaway border province under NATO control (repeat of Korea), or Zelensky rules in exile with the US arming Ukrainian rebels for the foreseeable future? The MIC must be drooling over the prospect.
I'd believe it if someone said the war's over 4 weeks from now. 4 days is a little optimistic for Russia. It took us about 6 weeks to roll Iraq, a smaller country with supposedly less advanced military. Kiev probably falls within the next 10 days though
I've been predicting that Kiev will be abandoned suddenly in a few days, with the political leadership fleeing the country and the army being forced to stand down.
I'm expecting to see Zelensky and friends in Brussels giving impassioned speeches by next week.
All I'm seeing from this is we are about to get Cold War 2, and I think the main reason is to benefit defense contractors and the politicians they pay off.
I really hope this isn't true. I want Russia to win, because the entire political and media class that hates me wants Ukraine to win, so something must be messed up.
I keep seeing people talking about how Russia is behind schedule, Putin needed this to be over in three days, that he's getting desperate, and that he'll fail because Ukraine is "kicking their ass". Now this. People really are talking out their ass about this whole thing. They seem to think Russia is some sort of cartoon villain, and that just making something up on Twitter will make it come true.
Projection in the key of Afghanistan minor.

¯\(ツ)/¯ uh ok
why does anyone in the USA care either way?
our economy is done. our monetary system is just about finished. the USA won't be around as we know it within 10 years. our native birth rate is so low that we won't even need our own country in a few generations.
Israel cares.

On Syria, and the middle east's relationship with the west more generally

What the fuck happened to CBS news? When did they stop being the conservative old people news and just embrace the TDS and ESG?
I think you want PBS, not CBS.
Pussy > Cunt.
I grew up on Cronkite. We were often told, again and again (by CBS) about how trustworthy he was.

Ukraine will fall in 4-5 DAYS at this point.
The amount of obviously bullshit propaganda grows nearly by the hour.
If you haven't bought your toilet paper aisles stockpiles yet, godspeed to you my internet frens.
Shits gonna pop off real quick.

For sure. I would be amazed if he was still in Ukraine, likely fled the day Russians crossed the border
20 years?
Only if the U.S. gets involved.
Looks like Seattle.
I saw that meme!

Perhaps Raytheon will pivot into smart-IEDs-as-a-service.
Introducing the iED by Raytheon!

It’s the classic “Russia is going to take over the world!” and “Russia is totally inept lol” at the same time.
