Also, is someone about to get teabagged by a horse?

Did black and white horse knock brown coat over and also bottom horse knocked over the lady in the motorized cart?

While at least 40 geared personnel look on?

Is this what my tax dollars are paying for?

Yes and no.

These are Toronto police so their tax dollars are paying for it technically.

"Thrown at?" She appears to still be riding it.

Yep, the video shows that she was stuck between one horse and a crowd on the horse's right. The guy in brown seemed to be trying to get her out of the way, when another cop rode his horse to the first horse's right and ran over them both.

Liars lie. Sad part is that people fall for it — looking right at a picture and still can’t see the truth.

FACT CHECK: There was a bicycle there. Held by a guy in a blue coat. Wasn't thrown, didn't even touch a horse. Several cops violently pushed him back after the horses went by.

Thank you Twitter. Here is footage of the real bicycle. Watch for yourself (0:09 on). Doesn’t look like anything was thrown, or came close to the horses, from my perspective.

There is now a rumour (JUST A RUMOUR) that this lady died. Other rumours going around that more than one protester has been killed.

Correction: Apparently she's in hospital with an injured shoulder but otherwise fine. Some reports are saying the other victim (brown jacket) is in worse shape.

The left motivate people through lies, or with Hands Up, Don't Shoot!

Spread the word she was murdered by these "people."

She's not dead.

Are you really not understanding my point? If the lie makes more people stand up for themselves, it doesn't matter. The Right's inability the understand and embrace this is a large part of why we lose.

▲ 5 ▼

No, the right resorting to left wing tactics and thinking they'll work the same way with no institutional power behind them is why we lose.

So, what's the alternative? All that matters is YOUR people believe it.

we dont need lies when people actually die on the daily

a walking talking piece of foreign excrement ran over and brutalized kids and their parents and teachers at a literal Christmas parade in an SUV and nobody did anything

similarly, another piece of foreign excrement shot an unarmed female airforce vet of 14 years in the neck and left her to bleed out on january 6th (the only death of the event), nobody did anything

what makes you think they'd react over some handicapped woman who probably supports blm on the weekends dying at yet another useless anti mandate protest

With no institutional power, there is exactly one way to fight back. Unfortunately, I am not allowed to elaborate further.

Best outcome comes from truth. Ends don't justify the means. I one is willing to adopt the methods of the damned one might as well just join them instead.

Idiot protestors should have been armed. The government made it very clear that this was going to end with violence.

The protesters have been winning people over to their side by being peaceful, and they need to stay peaceful. They're not the ones who just spent the day beating up veterans in the streets with the whole world watching.

If they set fire to businesses it would still be a peaceful protest, right? Or only if they're African-Canadian?

Actually, it turns out this lady with the walker is native, and a respected elder in her community. She's been at the protest since day one. Another poor aboriginal victim of racist RCMP violence. The lefties are really in a moral pickle now, lol.

There is no pickle. She simply won't be acknowledged, and if she somehow is she won't count. There is no "we got them now!" moral bind you can hold over a leftists, and you never will.

Right, so they look weak while the police look strong. It doesn't matter how many people you win over if the state has sufficient capacity to keep everyone in line.

If you think they look strong after this, when the only provocation was 3+ weeks of honking and dance parties, you need to rethink how you evaluate optics.

Optics are what the media say they are. Blue cheka responded by expressing sympathy for the horse.

I don't generally buy the "optics" argument (because, as you said, the media will present their own narrative), but at the moment the convoy appears to be winning the PR battle. Now, should the convoy remain peaceful regardless of the actions of the government? I'd say no (I'd rather not be executed in the street while exercising my right to peacefully protest), but if you're going to violently resist the government you'd want to have as much support behind you as possible, or you're accepting that the end result for you is likely to be a life of torture until you are executed or expire of "natural causes".

More protesters are arriving in Ottawa as we speak. Nothing is stronger than the message that sends.

Except tear gas, wedge formations, cavalry, and other forms of hard force. Also in the long term, account seizures; make your opponents unable to exist within the system and they're either dead or permanent criminals you can arrest at any time.

All of which could and maybe will happen whether the protesters get violent or not. They just fumbled the ball and you want us to hand it back to them. Peaceful doesn't mean harmless. The trucker convoy protests have done enormous harm to their narrative already by destroying the illusion of consensus. They overreacted, and now their only recourse is to try to paint us as the instigators. You really think it's a good idea to just cede that ground?

No state has ever had sufficient capacity to keep everyone in line, it's always been an illusion based on fear. The public is starting to realize that fact.

The modern state has long since had sufficient capacity to keep everyone in line. Modern western states are starting to realize that fact.

...does anyone know if police horses spook easily from sudden loud noises?

Maybe not a cap pistol, but you gotta figure an airhorn right near the animal's ear might cause it to bolt...

feel bad for the animal, but yeah...
