Except tear gas, wedge formations, cavalry, and other forms of hard force. Also in the long term, account seizures; make your opponents unable to exist within the system and they're either dead or permanent criminals you can arrest at any time.
All of which could and maybe will happen whether the protesters get violent or not. They just fumbled the ball and you want us to hand it back to them. Peaceful doesn't mean harmless. The trucker convoy protests have done enormous harm to their narrative already by destroying the illusion of consensus. They overreacted, and now their only recourse is to try to paint us as the instigators. You really think it's a good idea to just cede that ground?
They still have the consensus, or at least the illusion thereof. A supermajority of Canadians polled support the use of the Emergency Act. Are these polls a lie? Probably. But it doesn't matter, as long as they hold the press they can maintain the illusion of consensus.
There is no way for the truckers to win here short of literally overthrowing the Canadian government by force.
