I mean the Halo story wasn't exactly high quality writing anyway. As soon as they started the "interdimensional space neanderthal" shit it was like 'uhhh that's enough you can stop now'.
Like they kept just writing solely to have something to put in more games and now we have Cthuluh's dandruff actually being The Flood or some nonsense. None of that was necessary, the Forerunners simply encountering a hyper invasive dangerous species kind of was all we needed.

Saw the trailer for that. Was not interested anyway, but seeing that they checked what appears to be every diversity box, I presume it's worse than I would have given it anyway. The white chick with the white hair gives off very much the pink headed bitch in Last Jedi vibes. Not that I would have bought Paramount+ anyway. If all this stuff wasn't wokewashed and good by some miracle, the thought that I would pay for a dozen different services for shows is nuts.
That's Halsey, so that comparison isn't completely off base for the character (except Halsey is actually competent, and doesn't appear to care about much of anything except the survival of the human race (and herself) at any cost. I guess she also has that weird mother-child relationship with the Spartan-IIs, but even then she's not above sacrificing them to further her goals.
