I mean the Halo story wasn't exactly high quality writing anyway. As soon as they started the "interdimensional space neanderthal" shit it was like 'uhhh that's enough you can stop now'.
Like they kept just writing solely to have something to put in more games and now we have Cthuluh's dandruff actually being The Flood or some nonsense. None of that was necessary, the Forerunners simply encountering a hyper invasive dangerous species kind of was all we needed.
Is this from the games or just the side-stuff?

Halo 4 introduced the idea that 150,000 years ago, prehistoric man was comprised completely of hyperintelligent Kangz flying around on intergalactic spaceships forming a vast interstellar empire.

I guess this is from a book or something, I never read it I only stumbled across this, but yes, the Flood is basically the dandruff of Space Cthulhus.
If they came from a planet that is similar to Earth, wouldn't they be all different skin tones depending on what latitude they lived at?
I mean, a lot of those look more like Amerindians. Also, way to ruin the "ancient human empire" we'd known about since H1 by making it composed of people who despite ruling tens of thousands of worlds didn't progress past tribal markings of rank/status...
You don't know that we won't end up as techno-barbarians. I rather like the idea. Grug smash.
