Can we have our lives back

That's the first thing I thought after I got over "alpha" Covid over a year ago. I'm supposed to give up everything for this?

My case was pretty rough, certainly up there with the worst illnesses of my life, but it was a few days of misery and then it was over. No panicked doctor visits, no will writing, just coughing until I puked for about 4 days then I was fine.

I certainly would have chosen to just have it and then moved on regardless if given the choice.

Healthcare workers are demons. Health agencies are demons.

Keep yourself strong. Lift weights. Sleep well. Go outside. Smile.

Nah. Some of 'em just want to earn a buck and help people.

Fair enough. I was being too general. The ones leading this evil are the demons. There are many working against it.

I got sick last week, which isn't surprising considering it is cold and flu season. Don't know if it was kung flu and don't really care. Some family that I probably caught it from tested positive, but those tests pop hot for anything so who knows. I took some horse dewormer, since it appears to be a miracle drug for any cold/flu, and washed it down with plenty of engine coolant. It was the most mild sickness I've ever had. About four days of general lack of energy and a foginess that made it hard to concentrate, with one "bad" day where my hands were a bit achy.

10/10 hope every disease I catch is like this

Wait, which protocol is that in again?

Everyone should drink plenty of engine coolant(water) every day, sick or not.

I just got over it also. Was absolutely nothing to worry about. Bad headache, fever for 2 days, body aches and fatigue. Then it was over.

Sounds exactly like what I had a couple months ago I was also sick for two days and had just a horrible headache and fever but only body aches for literally 3-5 hours I wonder if it was the Kung flu

I am going in for a medical exam tomorrow and a surgery a few days after. This is in a major metro urban environ. Wish me luck and hope I don't get killed by a vindictive nurse.

waking up after surgery

He tested positive. Initiate protocol.

"I feel fine."

We need a ventilator.

"But I'm breathing. I'm talking to you right now."

We can't do anything else. He's done. Bring him a dose of Remdesivir and a glass of water and get him to the morgue. Code it a covid death.

I lost all fear of it when my diabetic 59 year old mother-in-law, who has had a MASSIVE heart attack and "mini-strokes", got it and survived.

Twice.

You can use your (greater than 2 weeks old) positive test result to get around some of the passport shit for 6 months. Beyond that 6 months they don't recognize natural immunity. They also don't recognize antibody tests, only the positive PCR test.

My wife has it. She had some body aches and now it's all head stuff. She had the flu a few years ago pretty bad and "thought she was going to die".... said this ain't shit compared to that.

Yep. Had the flu way before covid, it caused a side effect of bronchitis or pneumonia (can't remember which, it basically meant anything more than slow walking had me literally suffocating), that lasted for two weeks and the breathing was messed up for a month after.

Cue covid, I never got it, and a friend I see got it and what symptoms... Same I had four years earlier. He insisted it was covid tho.

You can get an antibody test as well to confirm that you had it if you want to.

I would not trust the PCR test to tell you if you had it.

I did the antibody test for my daughter over Christmas break for the same reason.

She "had covid" just before Thanksgiving, it was so mild I suspected it was a false positive, but her antibody test was positive.

My grandma had the original variant and she pulled thru, she is 86. If she can do that at her age I'm not worried if I get it.

I'm at the point of wanting to have it.

It was announced on news recently (for UK at least) that a ) asymptomatic no longer have to PCR test and b ) "common cold can provide immunity resistance to covid".

It was never about health.

I didn't post this before I got a negative test, in case some feminist fuck got the last laugh, but I've now officially had and recovered from THE COLD.

fixed for accuracy
