All of this in slavish servitude to the living corpse of a God-Emperor
They are literally using the chaos propaganda line about a corpse emperor, which is objectively wrong within their own universe as the Emperor is actively holding back a chaos invasion through the webway and is the beacon that allows humanity to travel safely through the warp. So yes, Games Workshop has taken the side of chaos.
As the left loves to say, history is written by the victors. "The right side of history" implies that they are willing to commit any atrocity necessary to win. Exterminatus is mild in comparison to the horrors chaos(and progressives) are willing to unleash, and thus wiping out a planet is in fact the Emperor's mercy.
The thing is the imperium is a direct reaction to the horrid universe they live in. They need the empire of man because anything else would lead to chaos or one of the other even more brutal factions destroying the universe.
The Imperium is the best case scenario for humanity given the universe. There are far more horrifying and brutal possibilities than a militant feudal technocracy. It's a Holy Roman Empire in space, with a large amount of freedom given to individual planets that borders on Hoppean utopianism.
It's almost amusing how desperate they are to metaphorically kill off the real fans. Desperate to remove anyone who might remember what the game and universe is supposed to be.
Fascism looks a little different in Spain, as it did in Chile, as it did Italy, as it did in Britain.
Every nation seems to put their own spin on the iconography, and the iconography mutates further when it's driven underground.
I see what looks like the Francoist Falange symbol with a celtic cross over it, an a wheel of swastikas. Which looks more hindu/buddhist than fascist due to the rounded edges, which are very rare in fascist iconography.
People who lose their shit over swastikas are some of the worst of the smoothbrains, despite often being "highly educated."
I was in a jewelry shop in the ME and the person next to me saw a piece with swastikas around the edge and started making a big deal about it. I had to explain that one, we weren't in the west, and two, other countries see it as a symbol of good luck, or religion, no different than a four leaf clover or cross.
EDIT: And, since we were in the ME, I doubt very much that anyone there would have cared about the feelings of Jews.
Saw this first hand when I was in Japan, there's always a few tourists who flipped their shit at a temple. Americans and Germans were the typical nationality to make a scene. Some others made odd faces or looked shocked but either moved on away from them or asked an English speaking guide about them.
The cross with arrows? Kinda. Up facing arrows (usallly slanted to the right) has been used by Fascist groups in the past and the Celtic cross was coopted by skinheads as well. The swastikas interlinked I've seen before in Indian Buddhist and Hindu temples, always as floor or wall tiles in the more ornate ones.
Franco stomped out the fascist elements within his party when they became troublesome. They are certainly far-right nationalists, but they aren't fascist.
I heard about this. Honestly I think it's an expert level of social engineering and trolling. From what I understand since every opponent he was matched against refused to play him the TOs had to give him the wins, or else that would look like discrimination for political affiliation, which is illegal in Spain. The organisers couldn't change the rules just because of what he wore or his politics.
Honestly I find the whole thing fucking hilarious.
Yeah that was bs. Iirc I think they hard-coded in or whatever so mods couldn't take it out. And one of the starter characters was a gamergate journo. "sarah" nyberg I think? I don't remember.
Good game but the woke stuff in it was annoying. The studio got their comeuppance in the end when they misshandled and wokified that Vampire the Masquerade game so at least there's that.
BattleTech is currently being infiltrated. Magistry of Canopis is trans and gay coded the MoC would fit in well in the grimdark of 40k as some Slaneeshi cult in the Eye.
The Trump as God Emperor meme came from Trump fandom, not 40K. The Emperor symbol was co-opted. Of course there is some overlap of 40K fans and Trump fans, when 40% of the USA is Republican, but that meme is political in a way that has nothing to do with Warhammer itself.
Anyone else want to pool their money and crowdfund with me so we can by the IP when GW goes under and needs to auction off their assets? Shouldn't be more than 1 mil for the whole IP once it's run into the ground.
So they are finally speaking out about degenerate Slaneshi and Nurgle cultist?
Nah in Warhammer 41K those will be the designated "heroic" factions.
On that note, does anyone do 40K parody headlines like the Daily Gondor?
The Daily Emperor should be a thing.
The Daily Primer? Or the Imperial Primer perhaps?
Interesting. For the most part it seems like those groups are attracted to the Imperial faction, so is GW saying that siding with Chaos is acceptable?
Trannies are obvious slaanesh worshipers so you might be on to something.

So much for being on the right side of history.

I also disavow those groups. Except I suspect I'm not talking about the same groups they are.

For those unaware, they're doing this because this happened at an unofficial tournament in Spain.
I suspect the tournament organizers refused boot him because, due to Spain having had a fascist party in power until relatively recently, they'd probably be at risk of much more serious pushback, possibly even legal pushback, than we see in other western nations.
Fuck I gave that subhuman retard a click
Is that weird symbol actually a fascist symbol? Looks like it could be a game icon or band icon, anything really
"Everything I don't like is fascism! Now ignore those of us over here using the fascist playbook!"

This. Supposedly it's due to anti discrimination laws that apply to political leanings.
I disavow communists and woke coopting warhammer as well.
the franchise is effectively dead for me.
Very Brave
Just who in the fuck defines what a "hate group" is? That can literally be anything.
I'm sick of this shit happening to media and hobbies I enjoy. Fuck this virtue signaling shit companies do.

Literally everyone does this in a competitive environment. If you get your opponent to tilt, they won't compete effectively.
Ok that's cool and all. Now when will you lower your fucking minis prices?
They'd rather let Tommy Robinson and Farage run the company than lower prices.
Disregard 40k
Acquire Battletech

Tbh I've seen some Russian weirdos doing just that on Deviantart, long time ago. I think they were associated with that Iron March fiasco.
