I can understand the idea of gender dysmorphia. There are various extremely rare mental conditions that people have, including those where a portion of their body feels so foreign that they may strangely be best served by removing it. In the case of transgenderism, "legitimate" dismorphia is the definite minority. Some have fetishes (crossdressing, gender-play), some just have characteristics associated with the other gender, some have been simply groomed (including fetishes), in all these cases, they should not medically transition (or at all). There's a reason activists hide those who reverse course (often too late). They also hide the severe consequences of "pausing" hormones, and have removed the process to determine if someone is "legitimately" trans before medical options are provided.
