Why isn't drag demonized like blackface? It's the same concept--using gross stereotypes of a race/gender for the purpose of entertainment. My gender is not a nightclub act.

I feel like this is one of the goals of BLM too. The entertainment industry is highly competitive. Yet it seems like the majority of actors in commercials now are black/brown people. And movies too. Pretty easy way to eliminate a lot of competition by playing the race card. And this is nothing new. It happened to the "Hazel" TV show back in the 1960s when the NAACP threated a boycott of the sponsor, Ford, unless the show hired at least one black person.

Sexual exploitation of children performing drag is one issue. The OTHER issue is that drag uses gross stereotypes of women for the purpose of entertainment. Just as blackface uses gross stereotypes of blacks for entertainment. Mind unchanged.
