A comics reviewer I follow has joked that all characters are just like caterpillars, waiting until they can finally transform into their butterfly form of being a black lesbian. It seems like less and less of a joke every new adaptation.

Then they'll bang on endlessly about how "representation matters". If representation matters then why shouldn't I be furious about the erasure of white characters?
Just every white classic character will be, sooner than later, black. From books, comics, games, older movies, legends, fairy tales, literally everyone and everywhere will be blackwashed. Historical figures, too.
