This is dumb and wrong. You should feel bad for being this incorrect.

Why though? They act as a collective in every other way. They defend every single member of their tribe when they have no personal connection to them. Why can't the criticism be on this level as well?

Are there exceptions? Of course, but those exceptions are usually outcasted and labeled as something other than black, by the gorup themselves. They are the ones forcing people to align based on your skin color, and they are quick to admit it, yet any criticism on this level is immidiately dismantled by pointing to individual exceptions, as if they weren't constantly pedaling their racist platform.

This whole mess is created by inconsistencies like this... it's about race, but it's not, it's a collective, but it's not. And it flips back and forth in a convenient way to allow movement of culture only in one direction that only destroys and never builds or heals.

Mass media messaging you dumb motherfucker.

Look, if the white nationalist is telling you this shit ain't genetic then it's time to pack it up and go home. You goddamn fucknut.

"the white nationalist" isn't telling me anything. "Mass media messaging" is only part of the problem, if you think no black people think this way, think again. Also no need to be so angry, you're just outing yourself as a weak person.

Don't sit here and tell me "black people are perpetually unhappy because genetics" and then pretend like you've got any leg to stand on. Get out of here with that garbage or cough up some hard data.

Get out of here with that garbage

Sure the wording is not perfect, probably genes have nothing o do with it, but the pattern is there for anyone that is American, and the averse overreaction against it, is exactly what "mass media" has programmed into people, except only in one direction. They're now saying racism is genetic in white people only, and that racism is a health crisis (mayor of Chicago), yet the moment someone asks a question about black people that isn't extremely careful in the wording, the majority of people are butthurt and act like black genocide was just called for.

This is deeply asymmetrical. People are just trying to explain where all the hate is coming from, which at this point has reached ridiculous levels, so no one should be surprised the theories are also outrageous, or at least outrageously worded.

This is also a discussion forum, asking for "hard data" is dismissive. Just speak to the premise of the subject matter, and if done honestly, it should make for an interesting discussion. i've already defended "white" people endlessly in many forums, from the most disgusting possible accusations. It doesn't even bother me anymore.

The stupidity on the other side does not justify stupidity on our side, whatever our side is. We respond the exact same way. The fact that they do not, means that there is a problem with them.

Now, it may very well be that blacks are unhappier than other people. Considering widespread belief in the myth of large-scale racism, worse black health outcomes, worse black neighborhoods, it would not surprise me at all. But the evidence provided by OP was dreadful. It's like me citing Ellen Paige and three other degenerates, and then asking why white people are sick in the head.

I do agree with you that blacks are regarded as sacred, even by people on the anti-woke side. But posting nonsense is not the way to break the spell.

I agree largely with your sentiment, however the conversation is so asymmetrical, it is dangerous. We can explain and discuss why the premise of the idea is wrong, but completely dismissing it is adding to the asymmetry, and therefore widening the divide.

If conversations like this damaged black people, then it follows the opposing side is completely destroying white people. Ultimately I'd like to see black people defend themselves just like white people have to constantly defend themselves they're not racists --or-- this is not a big deal and we can allow to discuss vague ideas without anyone feeling it's a threat of any kind.

OP made bad argument, but dismissing in this forums like this, is placing the last nail in the coffin, as no other place will even entertain the idea of allowing it. Therefore there is an argument to be made, that leftists and even many black people actually want and need racists, and by having these dismissive attitudes, we're giving in to that by continuing to bottle up ideas we know are there but are unspoken and taboo.

They defend every single member of their tribe

Not Clarence Thomas, Thomas Sowell, Glenn Loury and everyone else who dissents from the narrative. It's almost as if it's about politics and not race.

Of course, but those exceptions are usually outcasted and labeled as something other than black

Whatever they are 'labeled' as does not negate the fact that these are black, and yet excommunicated. It shows that it is not about just race. Having the right opinions, in their mind, is paramount. If you then also have the right race, then you are untouchable.

And it flips back and forth in a convenient way to allow movement of culture only in one direction that only destroys and never builds or heals.

Yes, but what's your solution?

Completely agree with first two points. The contradictions are on the other side, and are there to further the divide.

My solution is to remove all taboos (ideally for adults only, but this is hard online). Even the dumbest ideas have some source from which they are formed, and I think they get dumber and more stupid the more taboo they become.

I’m black and pretty happy but then again my parents despised the “blame whitey for your problems” mentality. I too wonder why these very wealthy celebrities can’t shut up about how oppressed they are when they have the money to move to a non majority white utopia of their choosing.

But this goes beyond race. I’ve seen plenty of young black, white, and Hispanic college students who seem to feel a sense of moral superiority by being outraged.

True my friend. Look, I posted this after reading the Macy gray article, I didn't give deep thought, nor intend on writing a peer-reviewed academic paper. After reading some of the comments, maybe I should have (Lol). My point is simply if you are super rich and super successful at the top of your field, you should be happy. Or at least you shouldn't be bitching about each and every thing. Lots of college student are outraged over everything, all races. Not sure why. We live in the best time ever to be alive. That I have no doubt. Things aren't perfect, but could easily become much worse, very quickly. And I believe things will probably get much worse very soon. Live for the day!

Also. Higher violence, higher narcissism, lower empathy, lower conscientiousness, lower future time orientation, lower life longevity, more prone to certain diseases. The list goes on.

Not if you compared them to native aboriginals in Australia. Every group except one is 'less smart' on average compared to some group.

What do Macy Gray, LeBron James, the Obamas and Whoopi Goldberg have in common? What sets them apart from the average black?

Blacks have lower suicide rates than whites. While this does not directly imply happiness, I do think that too much wealth creates a sort of misery and ennui, and lack of purpose - as rich people generally lack things like religion.

No surprise. When you believe that everything is someone else's fault, then you are forever looking for more "someone else" to point at for why your life isn't fulfilling. You've stripped yourself of any intellectual agency you might ever have had in your life, and turned yourself into a hollow, empty, thing.

I dunno, Ben Carson seems pretty happy.

Maybe it has more to do with the kind of person than the color of the skin.

Well, yes and no. They have higher self esteem in general and higher rates of narcissism. They are happy with themselves, very pleased. That's part of the reason they hate Whites. Envy. Whites run counter to What Blacks think of themselves, they show Blacks to be subpar, living in poorer conditions and achieving less. So they will *itch, but that's just because they are happy with themselves and want Whites to stop injecting that dose of reality in their lives. They frequently have fun and are happy, until they see Whites, then the envy kicks in. More than capable, more than other races even. Not that it's deserved, but they can't comprehend that.

So I got caught in the meta of the conversation in another subthread, but to comment on the main post here... this could use more precise wording but I also acknowledge there aren't many options when it comes to what language to use nowadays, especially when the other side is actively distorting definitions and deliberately changing language.

That said, I don't think it's genetic, and this isn't about black people necessarily. It is the main black culture, and it is the culture that has been born out of the struggle of slavery, so it isn't a stretch to suggest they have a unhappy disposition to their beliefs and rhetoric.

It's hard not to pitty them because it must be a huge burden to live like this, but we can clearly not all black people are like this, but of course these black people are not into their "blackness" and are also not widely accepted in black culture (i.e. Candace Owens). I'm not sure of what the solution would be here, because it seems it's an identity defined this way. It's defined in contrast to the "white oppressor", and without the oppressor that identity might cease to exist, so ironically they need it and therefore continue to look for excuses to feel hurt.

I'm pretty sure Thomas Sowell and Clarence Thomas would be perfectly happy with themselves if their country wasn't crumbling apart. It's the way these Black celebrities made their money that compels them to stay unhappy; they make more money the more they whine Progressive talking points on TV. If you got a pay check every time you said something retarded on TV, you'd be a dribbling moron too.
