It's a long thread. But TLDR: nobody is taking this shit and his customers are BAILING.
(found on TD) Ten million business accounts, emailed by this guy trying to say ORANGE MAN BAD. Complete misuse of trusted private business information for personal satisfaction.
This company and CEO needs to be put on watch because if you ask me, his activities sounded dangerously seditious.
Ballots were made secret for a reason; to keep corporate assholes like this piece of shit from blackmailing their employees from voting for candidates that they want. And we damn well know this guy is wishing he knew who his people were voting for in every election.
He didn't email just his employees. He emailed all the employees of all his customers. His employees are probably all danger-haired San Franciscans who are sad they can't vote for AOC.
That's the big question everyone in that thread is asking. A trusted business partner and sudden unsollicited spam, not to mention "in kind benefits" to a political party.
Some? That's MOST of it. Even hard leftists in there are saying "You just crossed a huge red line with this shit. Even if I agree with you, YOU DON'T DO THAT." On top of that, other business CEOs and managers having to deal with offices that they have to force politics out because it'd make the work environment volatile, and suddenly everyone got a big-ass email from their expense accounting partner.
What I saw on places like LinkedIn was a bunch of CTO/CIO or the office IT guy being brought into the VP/COO/CEO/CFO's office asking if Expensify got hacked and then having to tell the executive staff that no, the CEO of the company actually did this. Quickly followed by call to legal to see what they can do to get out of any contracts.
As far as I know it's not illegal. But I think it's certainly a violation of the relationship between the vendor and the customer. I'll be pushing for my company to drop these assholes, though they're converged enough that they probably won't.
They sent this to all their customers and users of those customers against their own TOS including companies and users in Europe. Where doing so is a violation of GDPR and punishable by a fine of 4% of operating profits per incident.
I have read a lot of replies now and I wonder... Is America really that far gone? I'm German and we have our fair share of far left lunatics. But reading some of the replies makes me wonder if they are even human. At this point their entire thought process seems so alien to me. Cult like behavior has been on the rise for a very long time now and I think this is really another big step. The next couple years will be very interesting, no matter which candidate wins.
You're seeing the dial hit 0.8. Conservatives have a digital choice, 0 or 1. Leftists have an analog one; they can crank the violence and aggression up or down.
The Right has Mr. Rogers and Mr. Rwanda.
The Left can throw bricks with a smile on, and burn down your house and business and claim it's peaceful.
Basically. Political activism on the Right is a flip switch and it defaults to "get out and vote". The other mode...well last time it got to that point a federal building went boom and things actually deescalated somewhat after that. Still have the problem of the FBI creating a terrorist cell it then arrests to make themselves look good (see the Bundy's or more recently this whole Whitmer kidnapping thing), but they stopped executing women and children.
You have no idea. The media had been full of the same woke cultists since 2010 so nobody hears about it unless they visit dissident websites like this. Just about everyone under 40 is too spineless or morally infirm to say "no" to the sociopathic ideology running amok. It's in Germany too, it spreads via academia and the intelligentsia generally, so you'll be getting a taste of this there very soon.
Yes, they are, and don't cheer too soon because they are going to export their lunacy to our continent as well. I expect it to take 10 years before they have incited 'peaceful protests' burning down our cities. You no doubt have noticed the far-left lunatics copying all their ideas from that shithole of a country in that they do not even bother to translate the identitarian terms they use out of English.
At this point their entire thought process seems so alien to me.
That is because there is none. I guess that is a relief.
The next couple years will be very interesting, no matter which candidate wins.
It doesn't matter who wins, because the elites will push through their agenda regardless. Except in terms of perceptions. If the violent mob thinks that rioting got it what it wanted, dark days await America, and I would say that it would be comparable to the start of the Roman Revolution - that is where the elites introduced violence to politics, and Rome never recovered until Augustus abolished the republic.
I know you don’t want to hear this from me. And I guarantee I don’t want to say it. But we are facing an unprecedented attack on the foundations of democracy itself. If you are a US citizen, anything less than a vote for Biden is a vote against democracy.
So, you're fear-mongering over the end of democracy that you also fear-mongered over back in 2016. It was unfounded then and it's still unfounded now despite Trump having four years as President and more than enough time to overthrow democracy if he wanted to.
This is the heart of the issue. Biden believes that enabling more people to vote will help him win. Biden wins by promoting democracy; Trump wins by suppressing it. A vote for Biden is a vote for democracy.
Doesn't explain how Trump is supposedly suppressing the vote.
Also, is Biden wanting to grant citizenship to over 11 million illegals currently in your country an attack on democracy or is it just "enabling more people to vote?"
Do you want your elected official to win based on the merits of their ideas?
You don't care about merit. Your company has diversity and inclusion measures that include continuing "to increase diversity and inclusion, including but not limited to our hiring, retention, and employee care practices."
I used this software before, it was terrible. There's no much time saving than if you took a picture of the receipts yourself and then itemised each expense in a spreadsheet.
I predict that absolutely nothing will happen. The costs of switching to a different provider are too high for a single e-mail to make a difference. I hope there is a GDPR violation in this, because I can't imagine the American bureaucracy doing anything about what is an in-kind contribution.
Just another argument as to why American exceptionalism needs to die. Right, Left, Up or Down, a self-centered, American narcissist abused his position of power in a company serving international customers because he got so assblasted at President Trump. They can't vote in American elections, they probably don't even care about American politics, yet you tried to make them care.
To make a more political point, TDS is an international mind virus that has broken something deep and integral within the left in America and globally. It might be ignorance, but I don't recall such rabid, frothing fury over Bush Jr. This also highlights why entryism is never attempted until a clear market leader is discovered. The left loves them some monopolies.
Let's also not forget the ODS, where people were acting in an absolutely ridiculous manner, calling him 'Obunghole' and claiming that he was a Muslim born in Kenya.
The difference is that that was mostly coming from the 'rabble', while this is the rage of the elites at losing a single election and their first ever.
A couple people calling “O ‘bomb a’ -nother hospital” mean names, is a whole lot different than a vast majority of institutions and all of the the mainstream media circle jerking about how bad Orange Man is and calling for the destruction of the US.
It's in no way comparable, I agree. But there was a lot of irrational hatred for Obama as well, which is what I was trying to argue. People called him a communist for the very reasonable proposition that we should spread the wealth around.
I regard him mostly as an empty suit, not an evil genius.
Obama helped instigate further riots with his open condemnation of “systematic racism”
This was all very late in his second term. There was unhinged partisan hatred for him long before he had done much wrong. Although in retrospect, the Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright stuff seem more serious now that we know that this is so widespread.
On racial issues, I fully agreed with him until the Trayvon Martin thing, and even then - at the time, I was a SJW cultist myself.
I won’t say I hate the man
What I like about the right is that it has much more class than the left, though that's not saying much these days.
The difference is that that was mostly coming from the 'rabble', while this is the rage of the elites at losing a single election and their first ever.
You're absolutely right; not sure why you're being downvoted. Obama was shit but hardly anybody in the media elite would ever call him on it. And the crazy accusations came from randos on the Internet.
Most of this would die if nearly every company of note or value to the West wasn't founded or stationed in America.
You want it fixed, stop using American companies for everything. I think the entire world would benefit from getting less globalized and rooted in a single nation.
At the moment, American exceptionalism is still valid, but that it's exceptionally bad. I don't think that even in Sweden the corrupt elites would justify and defend their own cities being torched by mobs of savages.
I don't think that even in Sweden the corrupt elites would justify and defend their own cities being torched by mobs of savages.
Look man, we made a bet about Sweden being "that bad" and Tim Pool went and proved it was. They don't defend it because they just don't acknowledge places like Malmo.
I know you are on a full anti-America kick, and I don't blame you for it, but lets keep things in proper context.
Look man, we made a bet about Sweden being "that bad" and Tim Pool went and proved it was.
I do not remember ever making such a bet. Sweden is a trainwreck and has been for a very long time. Malmo is a disaster in the way that Baltimore is.
That said, it is just 'ordinary' crime and gang violence and Islamic enrichment. What is not yet happening is mass rioting, looting and burning in the manner that is taking place in America, and having an entire political faction either claim that it's justified or that it is 'peaceful'.
I'm honestly rooting for the good guys in your country. But I don't have much hope that you are going to prevail. The rottenness of the elites (ours are rotten as well) that has been revealed is not going to be fixed, not with an election, and even if you started today, it would take decades to make it remotely bearable. That is more than enough to push your country over the edge.
And don't think that I think that we are immune. At best, we're only 10 years behind on schedule. The wages of identiarianism are coming. And we don't even have any way of defending ourselves when it comes for us.
I know you are on a full anti-America kick
I'm ambivalent. I like some Americans a lot, and I hate some Americans a lot.
I meant "We" as Americans. It was a big thing. Trump made a comment about what a shithole Sweden was. Someone offered a bounty to go prove him wrong, Tim Pool was the man who did it. He went in trying to disprove Trump and ended up getting redpilled hard.
That was what catapulted him to relevancy in this culture war and was the start of his descent.
What is not yet happening is mass rioting, looting and burning in the manner that is taking place in America, and having an entire political faction either claim that it's justified or that it is 'peaceful'.
This is entirely personal bias. We have much horrific shit, but we don't have absurd numbers of grenade attacks. Fisticuffs and fires are far less dangerous than a single grenade, let alone the amount they get. And even then, tit for tat both are pretty far down the horrific scale, so its just subjectivity to really compare it.
But, their government is literally suppressing the data (that's why we had to send in a fucking bounty journalist on it) and the populace just rolls over for it. They barely have a pushback on it to need for a faction to claim its justified.
The only reason it seems less bad to you is because Sweden itself is irrelevant so whatever happens there is pretty meaningless outside of there. And I'm quite sorry every country in Europe laps up America's shit like a starving dog, but that doesn't make our internal, personal problems somehow way worse.
I'm ambivalent.
It was a comment on how you have spent the last few days posting nothing but doomer tier "America is so fucked" remarks. Not that I blame you, but you are letting it taint your perspective.

Fisticuffs and fires are far less dangerous than a single grenade, let alone the amount they get. And even then, tit for tat both are pretty far down the horrific scale, so its just subjectivity to really compare it.
The point is not that grenades are good, it's that just like the gang shootings that take place in say Baltimore, they are ordinary crime and gang warfare. The radical left has a long record of defending criminals and refusing to crack down on crime, claiming that society is to blame for gang shootings instead.
For that reason, I regard Malmo as business as usual. Even then, there are not masses of Swedish idiots defending or justifying what happens in Malmo. Denial is the worst you're going to get.
The dangerous thing about the BLM riots is that people are actually defending political violence and deadly rioting, which is the death knell for any civilized state in a way that ordinary, meaningless violence is not.
It was a comment on how you have spent the last few days posting nothing but doomer tier "America is so fucked" remarks. Not that I blame you, but you are letting it taint your perspective.
I've been a doomer ever since the backlash against the BLM terrorism failed to materialize. Initially, I was hoping that this would be the turning point, but watched with ever greater amazement that terrorism empowered them instead. If I have talked more about it in the past few days, that is just coincidence, as this is what I have believed since at least early June.
Even then, there are not masses of Swedish idiots defending or justifying what happens in Malmo. Denial is the worst you're going to get.
So now the average idiot doesn't even get to have the chance to see through deception. Its just completely suppressed to the point they don't even realize it. I don't see how you think this is better.
Especially because it works under the assumption that they wouldn't defend it when pressed on it, which I have seen many do. The complete censorship is just so strong they don't have to as often.
If I have talked more about it in the past few days, that is just coincidence, as this is what I have believed since at least early June.
I haven't seen you around as much since then, so that might just the the difference.
It's in a different class. And I think almost everyone knows what goes on in Malmo. The denial is regarding the immigrant nature of it, and that it's truly serious. Even that has been changing.
I don't think you fully understand what I mean. Just like your political elites do not care about Baltimore's sky-high crime rate, it's barely acknowledged. That is not a threat to democracy, whatever pitiful shadow of it there is in Europe - even less than in your country.
But groups engaging in violence for political ends, that is a real danger. That's all I'm trying to say. Especially when it's so widely approved of and justified. Is that really such a strange thing to say?
Especially because it works under the assumption that they wouldn't defend it when pressed on it, which I have seen many do. The complete censorship is just so strong they don't have to as often.
I think you would be surprised. While I don't know about Sweden specifically (the second worst shithole in Europe after the UK), if I compare the media in Europe and America, our media is nowhere nearly as bad. On the flip-side, we don't have large alternative media sources either, so maybe overall it's a wash or a point in your favor.
It's difficult for me to convey, but I can read your news sources, but you cannot read mine. I'm not partisan or chauvinistic, I think Europe is a shithole doomed to destruction as well. I'm trying to be as objective as I can be.
And who knows, maybe if we get riots, looting and murdering, thieving hordes rampaging through cities, our elite's response will be the same, or perhaps even worse. We're not there yet, thankfully.
It's a long thread. But TLDR: nobody is taking this shit and his customers are BAILING.

TDS go broke.

He didn't email just his employees. He emailed all the employees of all his customers. His employees are probably all danger-haired San Franciscans who are sad they can't vote for AOC.
Is this even legal? I get opting in to emails for business services, but isn't an unsolicited political plea severely unethical?
That's the big question everyone in that thread is asking. A trusted business partner and sudden unsollicited spam, not to mention "in kind benefits" to a political party.
They trusted a woke business partner. I think that part is perfectly legal. The "in kind benefit" part could be interesting, though.
They went international with this email. This is definitely a violation of privacy regulations in multiple regions (EU, AU and UK).
I doubt they sent an email to anyone outside of the US.
There are people in the very thread saying they got it in Canada and Switzerland. This was clearly a "send to all" move rather than carefully curated.
GDPR death incoming then...unless the EU decides to let it go because left-wing politics.
Glad to see there's at least some pushback in the comments.
Bruh maybe I'm seeing a different thread. A lot of people still trying to do gymnastics to justify it.
What I saw on places like LinkedIn was a bunch of CTO/CIO or the office IT guy being brought into the VP/COO/CEO/CFO's office asking if Expensify got hacked and then having to tell the executive staff that no, the CEO of the company actually did this. Given their history, I think it might be more accurate to say that they haven't done it recently.
You have no idea. The media had been full of the same woke cultists since 2010 so nobody hears about it unless they visit dissident websites like this. It was pretty bad, but not as bad as TDS. For one, the media wasn't singing in unison for his impeachment.
Let's also not forget the ODS, where people were acting in an absolutely ridiculous manner, calling him 'Obunghole' and claiming that he was a Muslim born in Kenya.

Then why even bother with the comparison. Obama helped open us up to the social justice nonsense we are dealing with now.
Obama helped instigate further riots with his open condemnation of “systematic racism”
Obama’s time in the White House emboldened the left and got us to the point we are currently at.
I won’t say I hate the man, but there were plenty of legitimate criticisms that the media never discussed.
If Obama was to shit himself on stage, the journalists would have went to eat it out of his pants and lick his asshole clean.
This was all very late in his second term. There was unhinged partisan hatred for him long before he had done much wrong. Although in retrospect, the Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright stuff seem more serious now that we know that this is so widespread.

What's that line?
When you're used to privilege, equality feels like oppression...
Did media so much as criticize the scent of Obama's flattus? Obama was a shit president and this is a horrible comparison.
You're absolutely right; not sure why you're being downvoted. Obama was shit but hardly anybody in the media elite would ever call him on it. And the crazy accusations came from randos on the Internet.
Do you think this faggot wouldn't do the same if he's Canadian or European? Assuming intellectual superiority isn't exclusive to the US
Most of this would die if nearly every company of note or value to the West wasn't founded or stationed in America.
