I don’t get how these idiots operate. Like, do they delude themselves into thinking they’ve done something unique when there’s yet another sassy black woman with an afro, or black guy with … whatever the hell that hair is above (cornrows?) just like everybody else is making?
What pisses me off is that this will get NO coverage. If Trump’s campaign pulled a stunt like this it would be all over the news. “Trump has so so little real support he needs to fake it!” Colbert would do a whole segment about fake fan mail to himself. CNN would spend hours analyzing pixels to show that’s not real handwriting. My friends would be all abuzz about this.

Yeah, because it was a load of shit. NOBODY gave it much coverage. Even the HuffPo article is framed as “this is why nobody is talking about it.” I knew about it because I’m a weirdo who reads /pol/ on 4chan, and they discuss everything all the time anyway. But, if you were a hardcore liberal with early onset TDS, you probably found it out and skipped any critical thinking steps (weird, atheists love to tout how they’re critical thinkers, unlike those religious drones) and went straight to “THIS MUST BE TRUE AND THE MEDIA SUPPRESSED IT BECAUSE THE CONSERVATIVES CONTROL THE WORLD!”
Back in 2016, just after the election, an acquaintance of mine (from the local atheist group) was literally in tears. She was crying because this nation was so morally twisted that it elected a child molester as president. I had recently read an article from HuffPo (like the kewl kids say) that covered the pedophilia accusations on Trump and even they concluded it was a load of shit.
But this dumb bitch was making a show of how she felt baseless accusation = truth.
So I’ll give the Huffington Post SOME credit that when presented with a mountain of evidence (or, in this case, a mountain of a lack of evidence) they’ll actually not tow the part line. Not that that matters to a party loyalist.

Maybe she's a lolcow, but I always appreciated how she exposed liberals' double standards. I knew people who wore "trans lives matter" shirts that laughed about how silly it was for Dolezal to think she could change her race. I asked why and got rambling nonsense about blacks having endured racism and segregation and slavery and that you can't just buy into that history and culture by getting a tan. I'd then point out how their explanation would also prohibit MtF transgender because women have a history of being the victims of sexism, and suffering under patriarchy, and pushing for suffrage. So how can some guy buy into that just by tossing on a dress and a wig. Their response? "It's a totally different thing. You're just a transphobe."
