For all of the bluster, Obama was never able to do much about guns, even after Sandy Hook. The current gun buying panic is just one of several which have happened since the expiration of the AWB in 2004. I built my first rifle shortly after the expiration.
Individual states, most notably CA and NY have enacted several revisions of bans while others, like Wash DC have had things struck down. Overall concealed carry legislation has expanded since 04, however restrictions in many states are far tighter. We have seen cases where once a state goes blue, one of the first priorities is massive gun control, CO and VA.
I'm expecting Biden to go HARD after guns because they are the symbol of freedom to the political right. Guns also represent a significant hurdle to anarchotyranny via means of self defense. I'm expecting a coordinated media blitz to begin in January to help grease the skids.
Assuming GA loses both senate seats to Ds it will still be a tough fight after the losses in the house. I expect at least a partial success via "universal background checks" which will only be enforced on otherwise law abiding white people. I also expect erosion of protections for those who dare defend themselves from a "poor POC just trying to feed their family." However I believe full effective nullification of the 2nd amendment will have to wait until Kamala's reelection in '24, when the majorities of Ds in the house and senate are stronger, assuming the republic lasts that long, and people continue to support nullification of the 1st.
Think bigger picture. It won't be a lockdown like we have now, but the effect will be the same. Travel, patronizing small business, access to services, etc, will be curtailed in the name of fighting climate change. In other words, the implementation will be different. I'm sure one of the levers will be prices of energy (the use of which is a good proxy for overall lifestyle) will skyrocket and things that are energy intensive. They won't need to tell you to stay home, when you can't afford to drive to the beach for an afternoon or buy red meat for supper.
There will likely be other ways, and other crises, but the anarchotyranny of the close future and the destruction of the middle class will result in permanent "lockdown".
Are you going to risk going into the city for a night out when mugging isn't prosecuted? A ride into the city costs $50 a person, and a non bug-paste meal is $200/person?

The lockdown is to see how much tyranny a population will take. Once known, future 'crises' can be used to put in place permanent restrictions. I'm thinking climate change will be one of them.
I'm thinking that all these cities are going to end up making Detroit of of the 70s-90s look like fucking Atlantis in comparison. Criminals will run rampant preying on the poor and the middle class, combined with new waves of gun control and anti-self defense policing (the only 'crime' that will be prosecuted will be self defense).
The middle class will be demolished through climate change legislation making everything much more expensive, while the waves of immigrants get moved to the suburbs and exurbs making fleeing the destruction impossible and unaffordable. Only the elites will have protection from criminals and schools that aren't absolute cesspools of racism and false achievement.
Biden, Carol here, and their ilk are going to usher in healing and unity in the USA. This talk of getting rid of whites is just a gaffe, much like Biden's "...the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics"

I hope you are right but I see fewer and fewer paths for Trump at this point. The MSM dominates the conversation, and with them in the tank for Biden (well really k-ho) it is going to be next to impossible to bring attention to the fraud.

Why would any college student need to work? In 10 years (likely much less) college will be "free" (well paid for by the middle and lower classes through inflation). I don't know what jobs the graduates think they will be able to get though, maybe they can outbid Jose under the table for solar panel installer.

This is a test run for a future where people will be restricted from traveling and living normal lives because of "climate change". The elimination of inefficient small business is part of it as well.

My concern with the SNR and the MSM has to do with the fact, like it or not, that they dominate the conversation, and are the principal source of information for enough people that they caused Trump to lose. It wasn't the only factor of course, but a large one.

I'm sincere. I've hated establishment conservatives since I was a teenager, which caused me to vote Libertarian for well over a decade, including in 2008 and 2012, even though I passively wanted R to win. It then became evident that the Libertarians were co-oped and I went to Trump.
It's so clear in my head what is going on, but impossible to fight.

The QAnon thing is insane. I see way more about it outside of right wing circles than in them. Just today I got a flyer in the mail with crap about it.
I don't watch MSM directly, and I tell people to stop watching. I called it propaganda for years but as soon as Trump got elected I couldn't watch it any more.

I wouldn't say worst tactics at all. They have Harris one (very weak) heartbeat away from the presidency and will take the senate once the GA runoff is complete.
The tactics have and will continue to work, even as the boot stomps the diminishing right wing political faction.
