Just to play devil's advocate, he did a good job with the economy and bringing jobs back. It's actually impressive how quickly the economy has degraded once democrats took power.
I suppose his ultimate problem was that as an outsider he was uneducated on how political dealings work. He couldn't see how many smiling allies were actually enemies.
You'd have to first collect a bunch of history books written by Africans, not by Westerners/Europeans. Then you'd have to sift away the resentful, the rose-tinted-past romanticism and, uhh, the anti-colonialist reactionary political nonsense. Then you would end up with one or two excellent books written by the salt of the earth.
It would require a huge effort, sadly.
It's such a tragedy. Europe in the late 20th century was doing so well. Things were going along beautifully. People like me were raised with tales of that fantastical land were people had central air and bicycle lanes and low traffic and other wonderful 1st world things. And look what they've done to themselves. What a waste of the blessings they were graced with.
Twitter isn't worth that effort.
