"I know you are but what am I?"

What a great comeback. I already thought you were a moron you don't have to keep trying to prove it to me.

You believe I care what you think. You believe Trump should care what you think.

You're a liberal, dude.

if a very complex job or role requires an IQ of 145 ... then a group with a higher average IQ will be exceptionally over-represented in such enterprises.

He's not even remotely correct. The totality of IQ scores form a normal distribution / bell curve, but individual groups have different variances (width of the bell) and different means.

For example, say there's 5 genes for intelligence, but the 5th reduces IQ unless all 5 are present in which case it's a huge boon. A group that's been genetically isolated for thousands of years and doesn't have this 5th will have higher average intelligence because most of the time the 5th one interferes and lowers the average of others. But occasionally somebody in the other group will have all 5 giving them far more super geniuses per capita.

There are many genes for intelligence that operate in complex ways, so this is not even theoretical. Average means nothing as to the number of geniuses without the variances.

tl;dr Peterson is being a dumb-dumb.

If you honestly feel there's more Trump guys who would vote for Biden to protest Tulsi as VP it doesn't make me angry, it makes me pity you having such a self-defeating myopic view of politics.

I get it that if you yourself can't have 100% of what you want you'll take your ball(ot) and go home rather than get 80%. I just think that's sad and pathetic.

fauxgnaws 10 points ago +19 / -9

To believe it would cost Trump you'd have to believe there are more petulant whiners like you than centrists that just need a little extra reason to vote Trump.

What a great message to send re MAGA: chock full of pouty crybabies dead set on cutting off their nose to spite their face.

With friends like these...

Tulsi brings fortification insurance. MAGA doesn't trust her, but the landside would be so great that the steal would be completely unbelievable and untenable.

Also I've watched enough Tulsi long-form interviews to believe that she would actually try to carry on Trump's agenda out of duty. Could be a psy-op, but it really seems that way.

I think he was agreeing that Russia is more naturally an ally of the US than it is of China, but because they don't want to be China's Hat like Canada is to US rather than because the Han are massive racists and will betray the Russians the first chance they get.

There were 50+ major media companies back then, so the smaller ones would try hard to get a scoop and with no internet they'd get a big boost from it.

Now there's 6.

fauxgnaws 5 points ago +5 / -0

Ironic thing is that I bet Russia actually would rather have Trump in office, even despite all the wins Biden has given them.

...because they're not Han Chinese, and the Han don't give a shit about anybody else. Their alliance with China is unnatural.

They think all that about blacks even more than any other group does. More than actual Klansman.

Since their core ethos is Niceness rather than Merit or Effort or anything that makes sense for civilization they believe putting them in jobs they're not capable of and patronizing them is the right thing to do.

"You did it Joe, you answered all the questions!" is how they treat blacks.

What I'm getting at is that liberals know "historically marginalized" people are worthless employees.

So to change their minds it's not going to work to show them those people are just overhead because they know that already.

Like other things they've never thought about any consequences after the first, most superficial step. Redistribute wealth to "historically marginalized groups" - ok, they believe that's good thing. That they're infecting the company with corporate aids or that lowering the bar doesn't make people perform better has never even occurred to them.

It's not just that Biden looked bad, but also Trump never looked better.

Trump shut down all their J6, abortion, felony conviction - all their top talking points - with sensible, coherent answers that people who have only watched mainstream news have never heard before.

Biden acting old and senile wasn't nearly as bad for Democrats as people actually hearing Trump's side without interruption.

"Eliminate DEI roles" could just mean rename a few positions from "DEI coordinator" to something else.

A statement like this would go a long way if it was past tense and specific. Not will "eliminate DEI roles", but we "eliminated DEI roles" - and which ones and how many.

What isn't mentioned often is that these diversity action hires aren't just dead weight.

Hiring an extra 5% diversity doesn't just mean there's 5% more overhead (at least), it means the competent people leave.

You're not going to really enjoy the 800x600 the way it was intended without a CRT. It just doesn't look the same on flatscreen.

I like that EE is easy and available, but somebody mod out all the new shit. And use AI to voice all the dialog.

Neera is annoying but not too much different from the carnival tent in the promenade writ large. Rassad is just dumb.

But Hexxat is literally the worst. She can't be killed and you get a bag of holding at like level 2 in the first act if only you can sit through a struggle session. Totally unbalanced.

It's called a "currency" but really it's a stock like as in the stock market.

You could trade a stock directly to somebody, pay 1 share of nVidia for 1 cattle, but primarily you add one step of selling it for cash and trading with cash. Same thing with bitcoin. The 10 transactions per second harkens back to when the stock market had a trading floor and people shouting orders.

OP saying it's a pyramid scheme is like calling the stock market a pyramid scheme. In a sense, but stocks are also a way to preserve wealth since it tracks inflation (when a currency devalues the amount you can get for selling your stock increases).

Only with bitcoin you don't have to bet on the performance of a company. You're betting on the continuation of a 'bitcoin economy'. If there's a disruption of a global economy, networks, or trust in bitcoin you could lose your investment, but probably those things are less likely than the CEO being arrested for a crime and tanking a stock.

"Before 2020" on Google search finds pages that existed before 2020 that currently match your search terms.

Any news site has a panel with current news links to get you to read other stories there, so what happens is any trending topic will just return random articles from pre-2020 that Google has seen the current trending section of.

So the news articles from your "before" date actually about the topic are impossible to find at least until the current interest dies down and you forget about looking into it, and any page that used to have it and was censored won't be returned so you can't even find links to wayback.

As a way to enforce the Current Narrative while giving the illusion of being able to research the past it's absolute genius.

This guy seems against the racial discrimination. He's like 'dude the company is so getting sued for this'.

He's not trying to keep anything secret, because he's not telling on himself.

The only reason for him to not talk about it is if he were to get O'Keefed and Disney retaliates, but that's just a stepping stone to better career or an unfair termination lawsuit.

I like Idle Dice way better than cookie clicker.

I find it hilarious how every time you maximize an exponential vs polynomial curve there's an entire new one layered on top that opens up. It eventually gets really crazy.

It's like the vaccine, a partial immunity that fades a lot over time.

They can't be sued over the damage the vaccine caused, but they can be sued over false statements about it. You can't sue them for getting myocarditis or turbo cancer, but you can sue for them hiding from you that they knew you would.

D2 is old enough you can play it in virtualbox, so I would just torrent it and do that. I'd never run a pirated game outside a VM though.

Or you can get it from battle.net if you really want to give Blizzard $10.
