I like the term Corporate Marxism.
If you wonder why nearly all big corporations are Woke these days, a common excuse you will hear is that it "makes money" because all the "diversity" & "insert Woke buzzword term here" appeals to a broader market.

So you have all these Woke people advising the higher-ups who are older than dirt, and assume these Woke people "know what the young folks like".
Collages in western countries are Marxist brainwashing factories. This goes all the way back to the Soviet Union, as they had Communist infiltrating colleges as early as the 1930s. This accelerated with the Frankfurt School that developed the concept of Cultural Marxism. And all these collages get loads of money from the state to brainwash kids with Cultural Marxism, along with outright Marxism.
So Corporate Marxism may not make complete sense on its' face, but it is actually an accurate term to describe what it is happening with these Woke corporations.

I never played Civ 6. But i have a hard time deciding between Civ 4 & Civ 5. Even potato computers that are pretty old (2013 or later) should be able to play those games just fine. I would certainly recommend them, especially during a Steam sale where you can buy the games plus all the expansion packs/DLC for cheap.
And that is not even getting into the fact that private businesses' speech are constantly regulated by law.
Will private businesses get to ignore laws that say they need warning labels on certain products? I am sure there is alot of products that could sell more if those products were thought of as less dangerous. How about laws requiring the listing of ingredients on certain food products? I am sure some private companies would like some unhealthy foods to be thought of as more healthy and have unhealthy ingredients be unknown to the public.
I just don't see how it could be legal to impose these regulations on private businesses if they supposedly have free speech. If private businesses have free speech, how can they be regulated at all?
There are "harassment" laws regulating the work place, limiting your freedom of speech in the work place as an individual because your work place is held responsible for everything that you at work do. If you so much as make a joke and it makes a female co-worker feels uncomfortable, a private business can be sued for not firing you. But now, all the sudden private businesses have a right to free speech?

The journalists did this as a response to the Quinspiracy. The Quinspiracy revolved around Zoe Quin, a game developer, who was sleeping with video game journalist Nathan Grayson while she received positive coverage from him. And Nathan Grayson did not disclose that they were close with each other while covering her, while covering stories about Zoe Quin & Zoe Quin's video game.
GamerGate & Quinspiracy are not the same thing but they are very connected. At the time, there was some group, I don't know if it was a company or non-profit or whatever it was called The Fine Young Capitalists. They were crowd funding on crowd fund website KickStarter to fund a contest for female game developers, they were going to help at least one female game dev that won the contest, develop a game.
Well apparently Zoe Quinn and TFYC had a beef with each other over the Tranny issue. TFYC were ok with Trans "Women" but only if they could prove they have trans for X amount of months, they did not want some guy to just call themselves trans for the purpose of winning the award that the TFYC made for women. This wasn't good enough for Zoe Quinn so she threw alot of shade at TFYC.
Anyways, as people who were concerned about the Quinspiracy kept getting slandered as women-haters, a movement began on 4 Chan's /v/ board (which is a video game board) to donate money to the TFYC's KickStarter about the contest. I think one of the KickStarter goals involved TFYC making someone's custom character. People on 4 Chan came up with Vivian James to be put into a game by TFYC. That is why alot of depictions of Vivian have 4 leaf clover, 4 Chan's symbol, in her hair. The Green & Purple colors come from inspiration of those being the same colors used by the Women's suffrage movement.
So that is the story of how Vivian James came to be. After GamerGate, GamerGate discussion would be censored on 4 Chan along various sub-reddits, making KIA1 one of the first GamerGate hubs. There is more history since, but that is the start of things.
