Different games. There was a big legal battle between the original creators and the company that bought the IP in bankruptcy of their publisher decades back. The end result is they cant use the name Star Control and the new developers can't use most of the setting of the original.
Haven't played in a while but I recall getting night vision was a highlight in the first game. There the first set you got really sucked and the later sets get better, not sure if that was vanilla or mods though.
Having none at all seems like a major oversight.
Also the point of interest thing is what turned of off of CoP. SoC had these open maps where stuff just happened. CoP had neat circles on the map pointing out to where stuff happens and nothing in between but terrain.
I've stopped playing games at a desk and just play from a couch. The PC is hooked up to a TV. My Mouse is a wireless keyboard with integrated touchpad that doesn't work for action games. I haven't found a good couch-mouse solution but now that I transitioned to a trackball for work that might be more doable.
I played the old stalkers from a desk but after decades of gaming and riding a desk for my job I can't bring myself to sit at a desk for my entertainment.
She should punch him and throw him out. Oh wait she can't because she is a woman and women are weaker than even the dress wearing faggots that do this stuff.
She could ask a man for help. Oh wait she can't because she would get thrown out of the feminist club for her implicit admission of the reality that women are weaker than men and need men to protect them.
I guess she just has to live with swinging dicks in her bathroom.

I liked Hades a lot and while it certainly had some subversion that wasn't the main focus, wasn't constant, and was quickly forgettable.
I also actually liked bastions gameplay. I think it was one of the first ones I can recall that had the granular difficulty settings based on (some) new additions to gameplay and not just scaling numbers.
As a NES player I appreciated the weapon that rewarded button mashing.
At a reasonable enough tax rate that wouldn't necessarily be an issue. If the idea is really promising then investors would happily front the tax. Or if a modder could get 10k from a game publisher for a project he was working on in his spare time that seems like a win.
A wealth tax implemented sanely that replaced income, sales, and fee based revenue generation could be a good thing.
In general the tax burden should fall on the investor class over the wage class. Though the government should be small enough that the overall tax burden should be considered trivial.
One big place I would really like to see a wealth tax (instead of an income tax) is a rent on IP, ballpark would be maybe .75% but I haven't done the math in a while. The implementation would be that the IP holder is required to set his own value, and there is an open auction for the IP with a starting bid of that value. If anybody bids then the bidder can buy the IP by paying the holder then pay the tax. If nobody buys it then the IP holder pays the tax as his set value, if he fails to pay the tax the IP goes into the public domain.
This would of course be a part of a comprehensive tax reform that moved taxes away from income and consumption to tariffs and other methods that directly impact corporations more than they do individuals.
Parents expose naive and malleable girls to our subverted culture, either through ignorance, or intentionally because they are convinced that is a good thing. The girls become indoctrinated into the value of the subverted culture that supporting the gay commie revolution, under more palatable names of course, is what makes one a good person and not supporting it is what makes one a bad person.
Boys don't have the same vulnerability because of their natural disagreeableness and more focus on their immediate situation rather than thing about "bigger" issues. They are much less susceptible to the cultural indoctrination. Instead they are plied with porn and kept in check by shame as well as access to the kind of license for self righteousness that was previously the sole domain of girls/women.
Despite those temptations boys have an yearning for growing into men to take their place in the chain of ancestry and the arc of history while girls have a dread of growing into women and assuming their place as mothers and matriarchs.
In other words, to fulfill their purpose boys have to avoid the pitfalls of temptation while girls have to actively encouraged, molded, and even coerced because given the choice they would never move to their next stages of life.
It felt like a throwback to 15 years earlier with the unapologetically masculine hyper-competent hero who isn't a drama queen, he is just tired of dealing with everyone's shit.
Spoilers, one great scene was when his best bro, who isn't totally stable, gets drunk and wanders off to potentially kill himself by fighting a zombie horde the main character says "ok we doing this, then lets go" and totally seriously is ready to die with his buddy, which of course snaps his friend out of it.
I've been using this bread recipe for a while and it usually turns out good. https://youtu.be/Z-husjZkxHw?si=sqZlOV50PeyLb8Jy
One thing to make sure of is get multiple oven thermometers to test your oven temps because my oven thermostat was under by 30 degrees which made for bad results until I figured it out.
