I've unironically been doing that in conversations for years. It actually de-confuses a lot of people when you do point out the absurdity of it in plain English directly to their face.

That's what I mean by this:

not just by increasing the hedonistic sweets type of happy

Being holistically happy is a combination of many things, including being strong and resilient generally.

But you won't always be strong in every category, and life is gonna test your resilience immensely. Having a loving family will make you happy, being spiritually sound will make you happy, having fulfillment in your job will make you happy. These are things that when you arent strong and you feel things start to strain, give you the support structure you need to recover.

So yes I agree with you, but you're missing several categories of happy.

While I agree with people here that it's a shit study from the looks of it (also nice picture that helps to mislead) the underlying idea is sound.

If you're happy overall, it makes the unfortunate more bearable. If you're unhappy overall, even the smallest trifles are unbearable.

We should aim to be more happy, but not just by increasing the hedonistic sweets type of happy.

Imagine the level of low IQ you have to have to take a classic and waste more than a page saying ''well what if he fucked your mom?!?'.

Jesus.

Multiple. Even the Rothschild Steam case from the other week had it. It's apparently a common issue with low level attorneys to save time.

I ordered a little 2 in 1 laptop/tablet a week ago, and after checking ram prices to see if I could do a self-upgrade after ordering I just bumped to 32gigs in the manufacturer configurator because it was cheaper than ordering 16gb myself...

Of course they are. The government is always a coercive force.

Came here to find/post this.

'I can't fucking believe it' -> the mind of someone who is unable to connect cause and effect.

A wonder how there's so much 'alleged' in one direction, but when things start happening for no reason at all it's never alleged, just 'driven by racism'.

I mean, beat them too, and harder for making everyone else less safe.

the whole atmosphere of the game changed when she began leading

While I will admit this person's influence is definitely one reason, all of my group is taking a break from 14 because it's genuinely not engaging right now. That's because of a multitude of decisions, not just localization.

Aside from the dialogue which is definitely not going to help, the cutesy/quaint south america vibe did not resonate with a lot of people past the initial introduction, the main villain of the expansion is a schizo mess with no reasoning given to the player, then immediately killed off. Only now 7 months later are we getting a hint of something else coming, no motivating throughline at all except for 'oooh its a shiny rock of unknown power!'

But hey it's a start of a 'new arc' so it might be rough at the beginning, as long as the game content is ok right? Unfortunately not as there's been ~6 months of no long term content because they have continually pushed those back to the middle of the expansions. The one piece we did get is a frustrating mess so far, with hilariously bad balance for a field style map where you literally can't do 1/3 the content if you aren't on top of it spawning.

I only heard about it after the recent debacle with that guy.

On the one hand I get where he's (supposedly) coming from when he does the motte argument of 'well it will be a burden on businesses and maybe that means they don't accept a project'. But the bailey of 'so how would you ever get another world of warcraft if (worst case scenario) was law?' is so ridiculous it's worth the backlash.

I do think ultimately there is some part of the 'meta' of live service-ifying games that needs to change. Hopefully this or some similar thing gains some traction.

Not tired of winning yet, about 8 more of these and I'll think about it.
