Someone was asking 'how is dragon age woke?' Of course they can't handle it.

Do you have to buy a game to post in its Steam forums? I really hope the answer is no.

No but there's a badge for if you own the game and not having it gets you dog piled in reports.

Oh, come on. Don't misrepresent. Having the wrong/unapproved opinion gets you dogpiled in reported.

I like the badge, personally. It's useful to see who does or does not own the game, and it's just as useful against leftist interlopers as it is against our side's anti-woke crusaders.

Sadly, it all comes down to who is in charge, and that's leftist Steam community mods. Doesn't matter if you have the badge or not, what matters is which side you're arguing for or against.

Sadly, it all comes down to who is in charge, and that's leftist Steam community mods.

Each game's community tab can be moderated by the game developers too. So it could very well be Bioware's DEI team doing overtime to keep the narrative. However unless you're banned from ALL community tabs in one swoop there is basically no way of knowing if you got hit by Steam moderation or dev moderation AFAIK

Depends on the game imo. Some games the people on the forums don't care. Some they do.

A couple I frequent, if you're coming there without the badge and you post anything outside of some variation of "is this for me" then you're getting dog piled. The forumites figured out a while ago that less than ten percent of reports are actually enacted by a human, the rest are automatic if enough people report you. Even if the content of the report is blank.

You can thank the EU and their horseshit laws for that one by the way.

It was a rhetorical question/shibboleth; you weren't supposed to actually answer the question.

The "correct" answer was to make a snarky quip about how rightoids can't define woke.

'Ban Reason' is surprisingly accurate.

The ban reason identifies as hecking valid, stunning and brave.

I also noticed it was blank. I guess the tranny jannie is banning so many people, if ze put a reason ze will be taking too long.

Reminds me of reddit. Someone asks a question on reddit. I give the actual real answer. Downvoted. Suspended. Banned.

Don't forget muted as well. Power jannies can't handle you answering back.

This happens everywhere. YouTube and Facebook do the same, only they will just shadowban your comment from ever appearing even if it's completely innocuous and contains nothing but scientific facts. Reddit just goes a step further by rubbing salt in the wound with the mods flexing their ban prowess.

Banned, muted… or just hidden, so you think your comment was posted but nobody else can see it. Reddits user block feature is also unique. If a user (not a mod, just a regular user) blocks you, you can’t reply to them or to any comment that replies to them, or any comment that replies to that one, etc.

It’s amazing how much effort leftists put into avoiding ideas they don’t like.

I’m reminded of that famous Apple Macintosh commercial that only played once, during a super-bowl. In it, the bad guy says, “we have created a garden of pure ideology where each worker may bloom, safe from the pests purveying contradictory information”

The point of the ad is that Macintosh would put the power of a computer - the power of information, into everyone’s hands. It’s hilarious that the left is on the side of the bad guy.

If you're not banned from the Steam forum for basically every game you own, you're not even trying.

I don't spend a whole lot of time there, I'm only banned from one or two...the most memorable reason being because I answered someone asking if I'd been banned for a bullshit reason...and then I got permabanned for "discussing moderation actions"...which isn't even explicitly against the rules.

Fucking bullshit. Thousands of hours in XCOM, and I get banned initially for calling out 2K, then for "discussing mods" and derailing threads...for answering someone else's question specifically directed at me. Faggots. Turbo-faggots, in fact.

Basically all I did there was help people bypass their stupid launcher that broke the game for people, and was met with nothing but approval. I literally helped people play the game, and got banned for it. No, I'm not salty, why do you ask?

In a forum that exceeds a certain number of users, the users become nothing more than disposable fodder. They care little to nothing about you or your interests.

Still a terrible game not worth the bandwidth to even pirate. DA is shit, was shit, will always be shit and this one is just more shit.

I did buy the first one and play thru it. As for Veilguard I'm not buying or pirating that shit. I already have a backlog on steam.

Huh, the writing is slightly different and explicitly mentions you were banned by the devs. So maybe in OPs case it really was Valve's moderators and my comment is slightly wrong.
