Well, riot month(s) will start soon. So we won't be sad or bored for long.

Just some of my thoughts to keep contrast in my head.

1. If it shakes out that Dr. D is a through and through predator. I'm fine with the pillory and outrage.

2. Hasn't every NBA player and rockstar over the last 100 years plowed through hordes of groupies? When chicks are throwing themselves at you , you're expected to weed out the kids. How diligent do you expect people to be when getting Twitch DM's How far into a conversation?

3. On Twitch you can DM anyone, unless they have it set to private. Was this a case of Dr. D replying to flirty messages? Was this a case of him going to a chick's stream and starting up a convo? I guess I'm wondering if he ever even saw this person, who initiated, did pictures start flying? Was it a catfish? A clout-chaser? Groupie? Or, hopefully not, Dr. Disrespect trolling streams and using his own Twitch fame to dredge chicks?

4. Unpopular opinion. If I'm getting Twitch DM's or messages joking around, flirting whatever, it might take awhile before I leap to 'How old are you and can you provide a govt ID' On the other hand, I'm never gonna try to arrange a meet up or even invest further in an online relationship, from a cold open from a stranger.

Now that I have sorted that all out in my head.

It would seem that Dr. D might be an idiot. Though I like him, why on Earth would you get sucked into a DM bait like that? Especially when he was probably getting 1000's of messages a week, so would likely have a privacy setting turned on. So, it could be more likely that he was trawling streams and started flirting with a girl. Who then turned out to be not completely legal, and he bailed at some unclear time, either before or after the demarcation line of fucking up.

One of these chicks will go viral and look like they'll have staying power, then she'll get a $$$ offer to start posting friendly to the establishment content, or content that distracts, culture war, signal boost. Just think of the shit the paid actors post.

Anything to distract from actual meat and potatoes issues. Class issues. They gotta keep the peasants fighting each other so they can keep looting. Corruption is so bad they are all in on it, nobody wants to be the first one to squeal, and there's no pressure anyhow.

That is a cool idea. Don't use Chat-GPT though, RimWorld is too raw for it. All those pawns running around quipping "I'm just a language model.." or "Let's steer the conversation to something that inspires more equitable feelings"

Any of the advanced Claude models would be down for the wasteland of RimWorld.

This show was already crazy woke! Like in the first season that bearded psych doctor there, already has like 99 adopted kids of course supremely diverse and gay, and he's gay. The black heart surgeon, has like a stable of 3 black female heart surgeons as his team. So many episodes about trans kids, trans rights. I thought it was the wokest shit on TV and that was .. 3 years ago?

This is hilarious. Even if it turns out to be a parody episode, it's really not that different from the normal show.

Their audience used to be 'right wing' dudes. They are just trying to peel some away from a larger source. Think of these 2 chicks as flailing while they are drowning, trying to snag some relevance. They showed too many times that they have no real principles.

Most indie games aren't destroying or derailing beloved brands. I think that alone gives them an air of goodwill. It's easier to avoid an indie title that is rancid with post-modern garbage.

Will Wight's Cradle series, starts with Unsouled. It's kinda like if a kung fu muggle adventures in a brutal world, surviving and advancing thru drive and craftyness.

There's Joe Abercrombie's First Law books, starts with The Blade Itself. Great trilogy if you haven't read it. Low magic, grimdark. (alright so these are like 16 years ago)

If you just want weird and hilarious, there's the Dungeon Crawler Carl books. Earth gets conquered by aliens, turned into a fantasy gameshow dungeon for the galaxy to watch.

D4 is just not very good. It's pretty. There's some quality animations and sounds. The abilities are lacking. Everything is so mundane, even once you pump it with points/items. The item properties were transparently stuffed with bad properties. At least make them somewhat desirable. Nope, shit like 'extra % damage at night when you are leaping off a cliff fighting slime class mobs using arcane', levels of specific.

BfA was when I quit as well. Every class felt the same. The XP squish and ability pruning was a fucking death blow to the fun. It also didn't help that Legion was up there with my favorite xpac, so it was just night and day unfun. The in-your-face BfA timesinks, recycled mechanics, loss of... everything was too much. I didn't even hit the level cap. They were too stingy on giving you any new abilities, talents, ANYTHING.

Everyone gotta stop making excuses for D4. It looks nice, but it has no legs. There's not enough choice, there's very little mastery, out of the big 3 themes a game needs, it only scores somewhat high on immersion. (choice, mastery, immersion are key to the best games)

Anyhow BfA popped up in a random convo I had the other day, and I saw you mention it here. I am still salty about it haha! I tried the Shadowlands beta but, meh. I was just done. The love was lost.

The new theocracy conquers another corporate territory. You can wear a pride flag any time of the year at their locations, but the US flag only on holidays or memorials. That's like foreign soil rules. These pride zealots once again showing they are trying to form Gomorrahstan or something. They should be treated as expats or illegals.

In my opinion, Comicstorian wasn't woke as a person. He was woke as part of his business product, with Disney buying his YouTube channel. He towed the corporate line. He was openly against canceling/guilt by association, at least before Disney made him rich (not saying he changed for the worse, just I am ignorant to his content after CG kinda solidified).

Maybe he went woke, I don't know I didn't really watch his stuff, BUT before Disney bought his channel, he was one of the only comics sphere / YouTube guys who defended EVS from the cancel mob. Like publically. Later, instead of throwing EVS and CG under the bus, when he was negotiating with Disney, he gave them a heads-up that he wouldn't be associating. Instead of doing the usual disavow + apology or whatever.

So, maybe he did go woke, but he had integrity. RIP.

*editing to add that I would wager money that Disney made/influenced him do the woke content. They were his bosses after he sold his brand. Which would make me have to retract the 'integrity' label.
