Hard to fight against "racism" when you have 13%... well, we all know the rest of that statistic.
This is your basic low-rent white trash thot that takes shots like this to send to Bubba and Cleetus to remind them that they're going to get to run a train on her at the next party down at the lake. She obviously takes zero pride in not only her appearance, but also her living space and her child-raising. She's seeking validation by being a hole for some man to fill, rather than taking pride in herself, and it shows.
I weep for Western Civilization. Every day I see Idiocracy become more of a prediction and less of a comical satire, all while 1984 is being used by our government in the US as a guidebook, rather than being taken as a warning by its people.
Rants about how women are being turned into trophy wives and baby-makers

My sides, they are in orbit.
What always slays me about anyone who babbles on about the "risks of climate change" and similar horseshit is that they never point the finger at the actual cause of the problem - which resides squarely in the lap of India, China, and other countries that have emissions controls that are so poor that their cities regularly end up looking like a London Pea Soup from the Victorian-era Industrial Revolution. But heavens forbid we actually put the CCP and other countries under the microscope. Nope, let's make Joe American try to feel guilty about it and shove responsibility on the general populace while the corporate fat-cats and globe-hopping billionaires zip around in their private jets to things like the WEF.
The "Oh, we're sorry, we didn't know where all the money was going" excuse reeks of absolute bullshit. I've had State Farm insurance for close to 20 years now, and I'm in the process of evaluating my options for providers because I want to have coverage in place before I call my agent and cancel both my auto and home policies. I'm going to make sure he knows exactly why I'm doing it, too - it's not his fault, but he can blame his parent company for their fuck-up. Unless publicly announce they're firing their entire Diversity & Inclusion department and scrapping every initiative they have on that front, they're not going to see another dime from me - and we know that's not going to happen. All we're going to see out of this company now are copious amounts of blame-shifting and the guilty parties will quietly be shuffled off to other companies as they exit with their golden parachutes.
Totally agreed - anyone who sets up a home NAS without some sort of redundancy (in my mind, a minimum of RAID 5) is playing with fire when it comes to data loss. One doesn't necessarily have to go out and spring for a high-end Buffalo or Synology multi-drive unit, a homebrew one works fine if you know what you're doing, but one definitely needs to make sure they can source replacement drives in the event of a failure. In my mind, that's a big one, because I've worked with too many businesses in the past that didn't really understand the impact of making sure they had a good backup of their data and that RAID is not a backup. They didn't get the notion that they were responsible for making sure their RAID was in good health and that they were taking a copy of their data offsite, much less something as simple as rotating their backups. Anyone getting into hosting their own needs to make sure that they know what they're doing when it comes to keeping a copy of their data (both RAID and backup) safe so they don't end up having to go to the trouble of doing the aforementioned re-ripping in the event of catastrophe.
Heard you there. Verizon packages it in with my plan (along with ESPN) and even if I didn't want it they'd still charge me for it. Sadly, there's not really any other option for cellular service in my neck of the woods, because if it isn't Verizon or one of the MVNOs that piggyback on them, then you're lucky if you get service more than half a mile away from the main highways.
For those of us who live in BFE and have shit-tier Internet service that's only available from one provider, torrenting isn't always the easiest or fastest option. On an added point, by maintaining your own hardcopy archive of the discs in addition to the ripped version, you're protected (somewhat) from drive failure in the storage array since you can always re-rip them if you have a catastrophic failure.
But yeah, I see your point - if you have fast Internet then by all means, sail the seas and save yourself some legwork.
Why is "subversion" a good thing?
When it is properly done in an O. Henry-style plot twist, it can be a useful storytelling tool. The trouble is, the writer has to be skilled in its implementation, otherwise it comes off as hackneyed and trite - and most of the writers using it these days don't go for the plot twist. They instead use it to describe their typical bait-and-switch tactics of emasculating the male heroes and self-inserting their Mary-Sue heroines that are better than their predecessor in every possible way. It's massively annoying to fans of the original work, but since the fans have no say in the production they can't really do anything about it until the work is already produced - and even then all they can really do is boycott the film/TV show/book/whatever.
Why is "change" a good thing (especially when it doesn't improve jack shit)?
Some change can be good. A "passing of the torch" from an older property to the new generation can be good if done properly (a la Ghostbusters: Afterlife) but their "change" is usually a strip-mining of an IP for its fan-base and a rewriting of the original work while claiming it is a "subversion" of the fans' expectations. They don't want to make new things. They want to destroy the old thing and replace it with the new thing that's compliant with their groupthink worldview. They want to control the property and its fanbase, or they want to destroy it.
From the NY Post article:
A source close to AGI claimed, “More than half of the people who they have signed on since this incident have been white men.”
"We can't be racist - some of our best friends are white."
Yeah. That's exactly how racist that sounds.
For those that are OOTL about the dev and game in question, here's an archive link to the dev's Twitter post. The dev in question's comment on the article actually got published by Kotaku, albeit with no remarks on his comment. They did, however, "update the article" with more comments from him after it was published.
And while I do see similarities between the battles, and it's not uncommon for Hollywood to see an idea from a smaller creator and rip it off without any attribution, I'm still somewhat dubious on this being a case of "Hollywood Stole My Idea".
As far as Acti-Blizzard's Diversity Algorithm goes, I find it deliciously ironic that the woke are trying to spin this thing as being an OMGRAYCISS creation of people who don't get it at the publisher. They just can't accept that any level of bitching from the "public" (and I use that term lightly, considering it's usually the vocal woke minority that bitch the most) is going to result in someone quantifying the amount of diversity pandering a company can get away with before they step over the line into 'racist caricature'. I've heard more than one podcaster say something asinine like "well, can't you just hire more Latinos or Blacks if you want more diversity of thought?" - completely ignoring the fact that those in the hiring positions don't want diversity of thought or experience, they want the checkboxes on the scorecard filled while maintaining a homogenous groupthink of wokeism.
Media Spin 101 - you don't answer the question they ask, you answer the one you're wanting them to ask. Stick a derptacular person behind the podium and let them run with the spin instead of the details.
ESG money is likely backing this, so you can almost guarantee it's an ideological thing. Rewriting history to fit the narrative in the process is just the added bonus for these asshats.
First and foremost, my general take on it is that entertainment companies and their management need to sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up when it comes to political takes of any sort. Your sole reason for existing is to make things to distract and entertain the masses, not virtue-signal it up over the wholesale murder of the unborn.
As far as ActiBliz goes, they've gone off the deep end. Trying to pass Overwatch 1.1 off as a sequel was bad enough, but this? Ho-lee-shit. Write them off now and be done with it.
Kotaku is maidenless. Full stop. Those morons wouldn't know a good Elden Ring build if it jumped up and bit them on the ass. They just took this as a chance to dunk on their latest political target and hide it behind a video game facade (as they often do).
I'm anti-censorship in all forms, across the board. Covering up anime booba just to appease a foreign market? Just don't release the damn thing overseas if you're going to have to go to that length. Too many people and companies bow to the power of the CCP, and kowtowing to them just to get more market share and the ChiCom bux.
I'm not even going to bother dunking on the Paramount+ TV show. The jokes write themselves and the truth of how the show is being run is stranger than any fiction you could make up.
Rick Riordan has dug his own hole on the Percy Jackson front. It was annoying enough that they didn't have Annabeth as a Blonde in the 2010 film, but wholesale race lifting of the character for D+ is nothing more than corporate virtue signaling. If this show isn't DOA, I'd be surprised.
File that under "Bye, Felicia" and "Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out of the dealership". Hayter's day in the sun is long since gone. If it weren't for voiceover work his "acting" career would have been in the shitter back in '94 with the godawful live-action version of Guyver. This is just a dude clamoring for relevance and trying to virtue-signal it up for attention (which, unfortunately, BitC is giving him by publishing the article).
How did they not have metrics for success and a team leader they were answerable to
Managerial stupidity and general nepotism in hiring, a la the "good 'ol boy" network. One of the hazards of working in the middle of BFE, even if the company you're working for is on the high end of the spectrum, is people don't get hired for their capability, they get hired because they know someone who knows someone.
My best guess is that the marketing VP caught wind of some buzzword-laden thing relating to Business Intelligence and she had the typical pointy-haired-boss reaction of "we don't have that... WE NEED THAT!", at which point job postings were put out for a data analyst for her department - never mind that we already have a department of developers who do that thing for the company. She picked this dude's name out of the pile, for whatever reason, and he pulled the wool over her eyes for about three years and got two of his buddies free rides for the same time period as well.
Funny enough, right about the same time all three of the supposed "data analysts" got fired, she was also let go, along with three other sub-managers that were under her. I'm guessing that more than just the "data analyst" fuck-up finally caught up with her, but since we never get any info on why people are canned we can only guess at the reason.
My company hired one dude who was an H-1B as a "data analyst" for our marketing department. First thing the dude did was demand a computer that was twice the specs of anything we normally prep for anyone. He then proceeded to get two of his buddies hired on in similar positions with similar demands. All of them made general nuisances of themselves to the IT department with increasingly demanding requests for software and resources, all while producing somewhere between "jack" and "shit" for their total appreciable output.
They basically got away with doing fuck-all for a couple years while they were supposedly developing a "database" for our marketing execs. All three were eventually shit-canned this past year. We went over their computers with a fine-toothed comb and - surprise, surprise - there wasn't a trace of any sort of database there. Nor was there anything on the SQL server we had stood up for them. The most we found was a handful of spreadsheets that were stashed in the folders they created on the marketing team's file space, containing data that could have been pulled from the sources with a couple quick queries in an afternoon.
They amounted to little more than a drain on the resources of the marketing department and the company as a whole, all while making pests of themselves for the entire time they were employed. And people wonder why the hell there's hate for Indian dudes who get hired in and hold the door open for their buddies.
edit: friggin' typos
Do we have a nickname yet for this clown-makeup-wearing bitch? Kinda like how we had Bagdhad Bob back in the gulf war?
Man, I knew they were going to try and take us for a ride, but I didn't expect the Ministry of Truth to go this hard into the paint, this fast. Bitches be projecting so much they need a dedicated VGA cable.
Every one of them thinks that they'll be working on "their" farm, or writing poetry, or doing something else that they're currently doing as part of the privileged idle. What they don't get is that they'll effectively own nothing and they'll do the job that the government tells them to do, or (more than likely) they'll end up on the wall or at the end of a rope.
Secondary Disclaimer: I haven't listened to the episode yet, so I don't know if there are any fat belches ripped into the mic on this one. Here's hoping we don't get assaulted by that this time.
So wokies that haven't left Twitter are the latest "war heroes" in the most recent salvo in the Meme Wars? Talk about diminishing the actual contributions of soldiers that have seen combat and the horrors therein. But then again, these are the same morons that think you can get PTSD from being anywhere close to a gun or because someone tebagged you in Halo.
Can't say as I'm surprised that Frosk turned out to be a hypocrite, but then again she's probably like every other wokie out there who thinks "it's okay when I do it". I figured she'd get outed on something at some point, I just didn't figure it would be from her straight-up being horny on main.
I don't know if I'd necessarily call that an unpopular opinion. Everything post-KOTOR (from Jade Empire and beyond) has been a downhill slide. Sure, there have been some bright points, but even the relatively good ones like Dragon Age: Origins and the first Mass Effect were marred by MS and EA forcing MTX into the equation.
Yeah, definitely not one of his best moments. Dude needs to work on his professionalism.
Label me whatever the hell you feel like. Since you're asking for bona fides, I've been gaming since I was a kid the '80s and lived through the crash of Atari and the death of the arcade. I blew up aliens and adventured through RPGs on my parents C64. I mowed lawns to buy my first NES. I've been a member of the Glorious PC Master Race for longer than some people have been alive. I've lived through the opening of the Internet to the masses and the Eternal September that has followed. I've coded basic websites and written my own apps for stuff I needed to automate. I've watched both the Right and the Left attack my hobbies - not just video games, but other things as well - for decades. How about you?
And yeah, the show isn't perfect, but seeing as how we're dropping criticism of production, what are you producing and putting out there that is of better quality? if you don't like it, then just ignore the posts and move the hell on. It's not like it's taking up any of your time to scroll past the post.
NGL, when I saw the headline on this post, my first reaction was "They're blaming it on No Nut November?"
In all seriousness, though, the dude who is pissing and moaning has he equivalencies out of order for the proper order of operations. Higher academia = woke indoctrination, and in turn woke indoctrination = bad. Obviously this guy doesn't believe that so he's thrashing against reality and trying to make people bend to his mindset.
Until universities can be purged of these post-modernist asshats that want to preach wokeness over actually teaching facts and logic, my general recommendation to anyone post-high-school that doesn't know what they want to do with their life is to go to a trade school or stick to hard sciences. Plumbing, heating, and electrical work don't give a fuck about your feelings. Computer code either works or it doesn't, and math doesn't lie.
