That might be the wokest part of the show (though I do not think it's woke overall).
As dumb as this sounds, part of me thinks it's to make men jealous and raise expectations of penis size for women, which may reinforce making men feel bad.
Three pieces of the strategy:
- Prevent the people from realizing they've been taken over;
- Embark on mass psychological abuse to brainwash the people into believing their takeover is a good thing and they're heroes for supporting it; and
- Impoverish the masses with unfettered job competition and housing market demand, making them powerless, vulnerable, dependent, and compliant.
Libertarianism is supposed to account for that already. Some external force coming to "take your shit" breaks the libertarian golden rule and is an enemy. I think the real problem is self-proclaimed libertarians have just been too cowardly to call a spade a spade.
I'm just going to leave. Most of the population and all of the government supports this downward spiral. Any rebels will never be fairly characterized or fairly treated by the judicial system, you'd be throwing your life away.
Difficult to call this slop when it has about 100 hours of manual work behind it, but I hear you. I'm completely fine with individuals in their basements being able to protest with counter-propaganda using professional-quality AI tools.
Edit: I also think this kind of work will be at the fore of a new, trendy AI-esque aesthetic that embraces the uncanny valley differences between prompts. This guy is a pioneer in more ways than one.
I don't like vtubers, furry stuff, etc. but I love and appreciate how Amelia has been pushed by the upstart grassroots "right wing." The lyrics in this are pretty banger.
Unlike some other comments here, I think drawing connections between the Amelia phenomenon to basement dweller / weeb pop culture weakens the symbol a bit. She might earn more power in the mainstream if she's relatable to normies.
Alabaster Dawn. I played CrossCode to death, which is rare for me with single player games (Silksong, Elden Ring notwithstanding).
If you haven't tried the Alabaster Dawn demo, I highly recommend. If you haven't played CrossCode, I also highly recommend.
From a 9 to a ruined/10. Yikes.
