WoW is a good case study of this as after introducing LFG in the Wrath expansion it killed off server communities as groups were suddenly made up of randoms from other servers you may never see again. So why would those randoms who then employed the Prisoner's Dilemma ever going to act in a cooperative way when they could just take all the loot possible and then never have to worry about seeing the rest of their group ever again?
Repeat however many number of weeks/months/years it's been since LFG came out and you have the current situation where there is practically zero trust between players, even in guilds, because the systems repeatedly put in place are far too lucrative for selfish plays to just endlessly exploit.

Already happened between Witcher 3 maturing to its end state with DLCs, the launch wasn't great and had a lot of things that needed fixed including some bits that were simply patched over like one of the Wolf Armour quests, and Cyberpunk being worked on.

On top of the other Wolf School characters that may or may not be alive by the end of the third game, and at a minimum that's one other person, there are also the other schools that could be used as a way for custom character creation. Wolf, Bear, Cat, Gryphon, and then all the others added later like Viper from the second game onwards, Manticore from the third game [used as a potential DEI excuse since the others were all white dudes], and now also Crane which is from some other story, means a lot of potential for a player created story rather than yet another RPG where players take the role of an established character. But then that has its own merits since it can flesh out a character far more than someones shitty OC so pros and cons both ways.

One of the rare few times writers followed the letter of the instructions and yet still did their own thing. Terry ended up being far better than he could have been and Bruce made it out of that series better than most would nowadays. Sure some of the later tie-in to Justice League Unlimited may not be everyone's cup of tea, the topic of just who was the father of Terry for example, but it still fit with in universe explanations and despite that plot point Terry was still his own character despite what Waller had intended.

I regret to admit I watched all 10 seasons of that. Well, most of them. I was skipping bits near the end but if nothing else it lasted far, far too long for a show and other series just went off the deep end by going even further like with Supernatural lasting 15 years. 7 just worked for so many things, mostly Star Trek, and after that things just fall apart too often. Stargate highlights this and while I don't mind the Ori stuff it really does come completely out of nowhere then gets resolved in significantly less time despite the magnitudes of difference in raw power between parasitic snecks and living fire gods.

Even with Claremont's extra panels in the original 1963 Uncanny X-Men comic that tried to flesh out Logan's obsession with Jean, pre-Rose and his actual history that didn't get written/published until House of M, the character was still always far too aggressive in that situation where Jean never showed interest in him, ever. When you bring up the points that he was born in the late 1800s and his literal rutiluphilia [redheads] that stemmed from his childhood friend/crush Rose that he later killed by accident, then every single interaction with Jean just ends up being shown in an even worse light.

I offered to help deal with spam accounts ages ago, and specifically spam accounts rather than everything else that goes on, but apart from Dom saying "I might have to consider doing that. I really need to do more community outreach and less moderating." almost 3 years ago nothing has happened to the point I don't give a shit any more.
He's had literal years to work on this in some way, even just bringing on a handful of others to zap blatant spam accounts, and instead we now have the current situation of the same obvious spammer using multiple accounts on a daily basis to post spam, gore, and other material which are likely going to result in actionable legal responses which ironically Dom will be responsible for having not taken sufficient steps when able considering just how many offers he's had for assistance.

I'm somewhat dreading they will attempt a Rabum Alal plot since that still fits into the role Kang serves, the problems with that idea are:

It only works with decades of material with the existing character, same problem the CW Flash did doing Flashpoint so early in the show.

Rabum Alal was one of Hickman's stories and Marvel keep fucking up his works, so if they do end up relying on him to try and save the MCU it's going to be all kinds of ironic.
His recent G.O.D.S. comic was canceled midway through. His Krakoa X-Men comics were taken over by both the company and other writers who wanted to milk the idea for longer than Hickman had originally planned.
