Why they didn’t use Doom or Galactus is beyond me. So many stories from silver and Bronze Age to adapt, but of course they use all new all different era that bombed and try hard to push modern version of captain marvel, Ms marvel, and America Chavez despite the the fact that their comics didn’t sell and were cancelled multiple times. Miles Morales will never be as popular as Peter Parker. Should’ve given him a different name instead of having a bunch of derivative spider men
They've never done those characters well, what would more attempts achieve other than to fuck up other ideas done by actually well received writers?
I'm somewhat dreading they will attempt a Rabum Alal plot since that still fits into the role Kang serves, the problems with that idea are:
It only works with decades of material with the existing character, same problem the CW Flash did doing Flashpoint so early in the show.
Rabum Alal was one of Hickman's stories and Marvel keep fucking up his works, so if they do end up relying on him to try and save the MCU it's going to be all kinds of ironic.
His recent G.O.D.S. comic was canceled midway through. His Krakoa X-Men comics were taken over by both the company and other writers who wanted to milk the idea for longer than Hickman had originally planned.
So now, just like Thanos said;
"You Couldn't Live with Your Own Failure, Where Did that Bring You? Back to Me"
Un-fucking-believable the hubris on show if Marvel really attempts it, but also not surprising for how parasitic the company now is.
Only modern comics I’ve read was Rippaverse but I hear the new Spider-Man is good. I should say Doom or Galactus could be good. Just hate how they are so obsessed with the all new all different stuff
