You think the game being made, and selling moderately well, and playing it is a waste of time, and does nothing in the culture war. I’ve already said at the very fucking beginning that I think that’s wrong. As if making a successful entertainment product is somehow losing or not involved. Money spent on that game is money that was not being given to Hollywood or some other major leftist outlet. Does it appeal to leftist? No, but nothing short of Marx, Mao, or grooming children appeals to them. Providing a means of entertainment for the right is a step in the culture war. And by the nature of the subject matter may appeal to edgey teens who do not have a political world view, but makes their pearl clutching parents or teachers upset.
The idea that somehow making a product in the entertainment space is doing nothing and is not involved in the culture war is so stupid. This isn’t going to take the world by storm like super Mario brothers did in the 80s, but it’s a start and probably not the last game the dev is ever going to make. Needing my first comment expanded upon for you and explained how it responds to your first point says a lot more about your comprehension than mine.
Guy released a game on steam, got accepted to be sold on steam and is seeing small success. No need to be a massive prick about it. If you think it’s a waste of time don’t participate. Him making and selling a game is more relevant than you coming into the thread and pissing and moaning about people downvoting you and disagreeing with you. People not on the right will actually see the product of his actions. Only a portion of .win will see yours
“You’re not “Winning the culture war.””
If you are not winning you are losing.
Maybe you should not be questioning peoples reading comprehension. Especially if you can’t handle someone disagreeing with you on the internet.
I’d say yes and no. Remember how the left tried to boycott Chick-fil-A a few years back over their ceo donating to anti gay marriage causes? On the day of the protest the right essentially all ate act Chick-fil-A that day making them even more busy than normal. I guess what has to happen with boycotting now needs to be an obvious support for a companies competitor that is either neutral or right leaning.
They are doing the people of Florida a favor. Maybe this means less New Yorkers coming down crapping up the place. And less for the rest of the southern states from New Yorkers who move down to Florida hate it, and then stop somewhere south of VA to settle in.
But musks spacex contracts are fine despite making rocket engines like that puts him in the aero space industry making spacex fall under federal restrictions on hiring foreign nationals. And hasn’t Musk acquired US citizenship?
The problem with mass immigrations to fill labor demand is that these are unskilled workers with 0 desire to work for the most part. So most end up draining their new countries social safety nets, and the few that do work end up taking whatever unskilled jobs away from the unskilled local population throwing them onto the social safety net instead. If you have a worker shortage reduce taxes to encourage companies to get visas for high skilled foreigners and encourage a rise in local birth rates with reduced taxes.
I’ve never got the plastic bag hate. Growing up my family always reused shopping plastic bags as trash can liners for small waste bins in bathrooms or bedrooms. I imagine those who pushed for the ban buy their own plastic bags while throwing away what was easily reusable.
I will continue not to recognize your religious holiday that says you can’t eat while the sun is up….. really makes you wonder why they had to convince people at sword point to convert with such a great fun tradition of not eating during the daytime
