Already been said, but playing runescape as a kid definitely has made me into a bloodhound that can sense a scam coming from a mile away.

Then just all sorts of stuff like math, strategy, long term planning, etc. Zelda games, strategy games like Civ and Fire Emblem and things like that are fun and great for kids in my opinion.

Thanks for the rundown. Yeah I've seen videos where Japanese people say they look Japanese but I've never really thought of the mechanism behind it.

I'd have loved if Smith trolled the fuck out of you and insisted they all look black to him.

Not the dude you're responding to, but it's always been obvious to me that most anime characters look most like white people. For as much as they can look like anyone with their humongous eyes and exaggerated features.

I'm implicitly aware that most of the time they're Japanese due to the setting and that this is just a choice made for stylistic purposes. I recall an episode of Log Horizon....in season 2 maybe(?) where the main character morphs himself to show what he looks like in real life. That is the closest attempt I've seen to portraying how actual Japanese people would look in anime form.

I play a lot of OSRS. This is the type of update that would cause a shitstorm in the comments on the sub reddit. Can't seem to find it posted anywhere despite the fact that updates are always posted there. Really activates the almonds.

I worked in a lab that analyzed mercury samples regularly for regulatory purposes. Not familiar with Texas specifically, but those numbers seem quite low. I would be quite surprised if those were over the limit for that jurisdiction. And even if they are, it's a far far far cry from what would be considered "egregious."

Never considered that. Thanks, I'll definitely keep it in mind if I end up there again.

Wow that's pretty rough. I haven't interacted with the reddit board for a while because this place has clearly been the better option for a long time. That thread confirms it's only gotten worse over there. The same self feeding cycle that made the quality of the general reddit userbase tank has gradually ruined the few reasonable boards left.

If you go in the summer make sure to take appropriate precautions. I got sunburnt beyond recognition the first day. So much so that I wore long sleeves and jeans the next day despite humid 90 degree heat just to not risk getting further burnt.

Zero regrets though. Would do it again in a heartbeat. I highly recommend it if you are interested in going.

Cutting visa and Mastercard will have no effect on Comiket sales in person. Went last summer and did everything in cash no problem. Of course, many people buy copies of stuff from comiket online, but there are other options for paying so people who want their stuff can use those. At worst it should be a short period of adjustment for a small few who don't have those other options. Really foreign sales probably take the biggest hit, but it's more than worth not bending the knee.

Japan is pretty much heaven from a food standpoint for anyone who loves sushi. I'm fortunate enough to live near a very good sushi place in the States that has good quality and price relative to most other places over here. But your average run of the mill sushi joint in Japan beats it considerably on both points. That shit keeps me up at night; I'd give so much to have that close by.

I played a good bit of Genshin back in the day. My Chinese coworker who still plays is always complaining to me about how Korean feminists have infiltrated Mihoyo and they greatly increased the number of male characters and decreased the number of lolis. Nice to see them give the finger to wokeoids in this case but unless they right the ship, their best times are behind them.

Not trying to come off like Lethn or an enlightened centrist or something, but that's one of the things that pisses me off the most about the average right winger. Conservatives have their own brands of virtue signaling, and that's one of them.

Many of these people will be perfectly fine with telling you that women are a huge part of the problem with how easily duped and prone to hive mind mentality they are, but the second you start suggesting that the culture would be better off shifting back to them getting married in their late teens and early 20s they'll screech about you being a pedophile.

Of course, that point isn't helped on this board specifically considering the specific troll we've been dealing with who makes a similar argument in a much more vulgar manner while speeding past the proverbial line at the speed of light.

I never watched or read Naruto. But I'm familiar with the basic story and most of the characters well enough. The fact that Naruto ended up with Hinata earned a lot of respect from me. Most manga and anime are extremely formulaic as far as romance and relationships go in that you can almost always predict how that shit will end up after the first few episodes/chapters.

That being said formulaic isn't always bad. Abe is rolling in his grave at the missed opportunity for wholesome natalist propaganda.

I don't accept the gradual shifting of the word in the English speaking sphere pushing the term slowly towards meaning "any girl who could be plausibly under 18" or "any girl with small boobs." Lolis are pre-pubescent girls.

Not implying you're saying otherwise, just reeing at a cloud for the peanut gallery.

Don't recall there being any lolis.

But in all seriousness hello handshake. Hopefully this troll is smarter than the previous ones.

Wow there is a magazine named after the Jacobins? Total clown world.

This is what I would lean towards as well. The biggest objective at the moment is to position things so that Kumala could plausibly win in the eyes of the public.

7
Bouldabassed 7 points ago +7 / -0

No shit....in order for overall win probability to increase, clearly the odds of winning certain states must also increase. Where is that probability coming from? Realistically these numbers are what bettors think will happen though so it isn't a good gauge as to whether there's been any genuine change.

Realistically, if there is any "uptick in favorability" that isn't just a mirage, it's likely a function of the fact that even Biden was at a low of all lows after the debate and the assassination attempt. Even he probably would have seen some bounceback if he had stayed in. Couple that with the wall of propaganda and it isn't impossible to imagine some movement. But there's zero chance any remotely competitive state shifted 8 points.

6
Bouldabassed 6 points ago +6 / -0

Which states would you be alleging she has gained in? Otherwise that doesn't mean much because those swings can be anything from "candidate gains or loses favorability" to "people think they're more likely to attempt and get away with another steal."

12
Bouldabassed 12 points ago +12 / -0

Definitely not true. Everything remotely believable I've seen shows 0 uptick nationally. At most 1 point. Most swing states unchanged. This is if you even believe polling in the first place. Even if you do, using single polls like that is not advisable.

Bouldabassed 17 points ago +17 / -0

From what I can tell, the "uptick" ranges from extremely miniscule and inconsequential to completely nonexistent. I could believe in a small uptick caused by the full court press propaganda push that has been made in the past week or so.

Korean voice actor? That makes one think he voices characters in the Korean version but in his email he says he does voices for the EN version. Imagine calling yourself a "Korean voice actor" when you're just ethnically Korean and actually do voices in English. Lmfao.

I'm actually somewhat surprised. It was looking like he weathered the storm. So much for muh democracy lmao. I know that was always a farce, but they're really going full mask off mode about it lately.
