Two seconds, zero thought, to write some higher than average quality reddit quip.
In line with this should we anticipate that Reddit will begin compensating moderators for the significant amount of time and effort they put into maintaining their communities? If not, will Reddit's management consider foregoing their own compensation for the betterment of the company in the same way you're asking of moderators?

Should be pretty easy to do with an extension or even a bookmarklet and there's nothing they can do to stop it other than not let you edit/delete your old comments.

I think it's the other way around. They see reddit is dying and that's why they're going through with it.
With the new language models there's no way for reddit to tell a spam comment from a real comment. Their whole anonymous comment model is broken.
