She quit acting in 2009. Her last role at that point was as Toph in some ATLA video game.

She only returned to acting a couple of years ago.

For that flashback scene in Korra? Yes she was. I forgot about that scene.

But TOO BAD, Katie-baby, you're not blind! NEXT!

Somehow I don't think so. For one, I was a victim of it in my childhood.

I was a huge TMNT fan as a kid--the original cartoon.

For most of my life after the show ended, I remembered there occasionally being a samurai rabbit character named Sushi.

Nope. While there IS a bipedal samurai rabbit character, his name is, and always has been, Usagi Yojimbo.

I was Mandela'd before the Internet became publicly available. Somehow.

It gets worse in voiceover.

Had a role for years as a kid, and now there's a sequel series coming where the character is an adult, and you're now old enough to play her this way too?

FUCK YOU, Michaela Jill Murphy (formerly Jessie Flower)! You're not Toph anymore! A blind character MUST be played by a BLIND ACTRESS, and preferably an Asian one since the character is clearly Chinese-coded! Dionne Quan, you're in!

...Seriously, they're doing that. The actor must share the same disability. In VOICEOVER.

Dionne Quan is a good actress, but come on, even Crunchyroll brought back Chuck Huber to voice Android 17 in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, and he's very openly pro-Trump! How the fuck are you worse than Crunchyroll?!

I met and talked to Murphy at a con a couple of years back. The woman knows her shit. She got screwed.

(EDIT: Her middle name is Jill, not Lee. Fixed.)

I feel the same way about traditional animation vs. CGI.

Go watch the amateur-made Daicon IV music video. It has visually aged so, so well compared to CGI stuff.

The creators went on to found Studio Gainax and make some of the greatest anime of all time. Today most of them still work for Studios Trigger and Khara.

Still pushing the "Out of Africa" thing, huh?

Speaking as someone who was circumcised as a baby:

I get it. I don't necessarily agree with you, but I get it.

I'd be fine if the practice was eventually outlawed.

It's a symbolic practice that is no longer needed due to Jesus dying for us. I never understood it anyway.

Every comic? Even "The Search," the one where they looked for Zuko's mother?

They definitely got woke after that, yes, I agree.

You mean like how in the Street Fighter II anime movie, the voice of Fei Long is Bryan Cranston?

Yeah. THAT Bryan Cranston.

The fake slide was made illegal after Kenny Pickett did it in college a few years back.

And they acted fast--they changed the rules mid-season.

However, your and Ahaus' other points are valid. Especially if they just...don't call it.

I quit watching the NBA after about 25 years for similar reasons. So much flopping, and the three-pointer is fucking broken.

The last game I watched, players shot 27 threes in a row...and missed all 27. In a playoffs Game 7.

You're thinking of the stupid plot twist from the third game, the twist they've been trying to distance themselves from ever since.

This is the remake of the second game.

Still not buying it though. Never played the original, maybe someday I will, but I don't trust video games made recently.

Most recent game I loved was Star Ocean: The Second Story R, and I can't gush enough about that one. Buy it.

Cool.

With a full federal pardon now in effect, Hunter Biden has zero legal basis for refusing to testify to Congress about his foreign racketeering schemes.

If you can’t be federally charged, you can’t plead the Fifth.

He can pardon the gun charge and the tax evasion, but there’s still a whole laptop full of crime that will bury them both.

Along with a whole lot of their friends and family.

The man is just too nice for his own good.

I say that as a fellow brother in Christ.

Speaking of, also like Conor McGregor, his lawyer betrayed him, and that's why he lost his defamation appeal.
