One of the most important lessons I've seen, that almost no one on the Right ever seems to recognize, is that Lefties operate entirely on the assumption that their opponents are caricatures and stereotypes they've built of a Right-winger. And their NPC programming can't handle much deviation from that.
If you don't react in a manner they can anticipate or use a line they have a counter for, then they are often left floundering. And if you aren't currently engaged in battle verbally, most people will instinctively default to polite/neutral response in that situation. And that creates an in for you.

It can be. I've got friends who we just straight agreed to never discuss politics around each other and maintain enough respect for each other as a person to not break that. We both agree that the other will never sway to our side, so we instead just be friends.
But I maintain that a lot people are far less captured than they seem. I've pulled feminists from the brink with continuous wearing down of their ideology through examples and in their face actions, same with many minorities about their own race or immigrants in general. Its a very delicate push and pull act, and not always successful, but I think most people are so obsessed with getting their "CHECKMATE LIBERAL" virtue signal and jerking themselves off about how they are The Most Anti-Woke that they burn that bridge before it can even be conceptualized.

While the TDS guy isn't likely to budge, constantly prodding him jovially and watching him sperg out has done wonders in shaking up people who agree with him on pure optics alone. There is a huge issue of people turning "the really bad" events of history into this basic catchall where literally every evil thing imaginable is either included or seems plausible that it happened. No it actually breaks a lot of the minigames, especially towards the end of the game when they were already hard enough. The shooter ones become impossible to keep up with as the lag heavily benefited you lining up your shots, and it somehow makes the beavers even less likely to go in the hole.

And I played the original on Gameboy, where it had the excuse of being super primitive as to why its filled with bad decisions and design, instead of a full price remake that spent its time adding half a dozen gimmicks instead of fixing one of the biggest issues with the game.
Johto was intentionally designed with a "pick your own path" system after, I think, Badge 3. So the level curve was made so that any of the three available paths would be at your level. Which meant that like half the region wasn't available for being part of the level curve because of redundancy.
Kanto was similar in that you could technically do Badges 4-6 in roughly any order and the level curve was only slightly prohibitive to doing so. But it wasn't nearly to the level Johto was. And it didn't have a fucking final boss in the 80s with a super strong team, so you could just finish Red/Blue with a team leveled pretty normally into the high 50s and be happy.
Its how you can tell that the legions of people who claim HeartGold/SoulSilver are the best/favorite games play them exclusively on emulator or with traded from elsewhere Pokemon. Because playing them actually like they were designed is literal misery no matter what other good they bring.
Crimson from Digimon World 2. He brings two very strong Ultimates who both have obscene status effects. The first literally blocks your two strongest attacks from being used, while the other heavily debuffs Vaccine type Digimon (the most common team people usually join). And one of them has obscene defense to stop you from nuking him before they get rolling. And he comes after another decent boss prior and has a fucking nother boss after him.
The entirety of Data Domain literally 2-3 missions later is even worse. Where you have a gauntlet of like 7 bosses in a row, all of which are confusion themed. Its usually recommended to just do 2 or so, leave and then come back. Because they stay defeated, and the hour+ time loss is easier than the huge item loss you'll use trying to recover after each one. Made even worse by the fact that most of their Mons are fucking terrible and would be a joke without the Confusion hell.
And its a dungeon crawler, so its not like you are ever walking up to them topped off on health/mana. You are getting fucking dragged by Digimon that are only a step below them attacking you constantly while you desperately try to find the Floor Portal to go down. While also staving off your Tank running out of health/mana itself (an instant return to base with a huge item loss cost), while also dodging Bug Traps because if you get unlucky and its a Return Bug (which will send 0-3 Digimon back home and out of your team) you basically have to just give up. All of these things can be fixed with items, but you have an item limit so any Healing Disc means one less Bug Zapper or Drill Missile you might need to progress.
Honestly, every boss in the game could qualify after the first 3rd.
But like most 3DS ports its also complete garbage due to extreme hardware limitations and broken gimmicks.
I still say Subsistence is more substantial of a remake than the vast majority of this one, including this one, in terms of added content and actually playing different.
Either way, this remake has little reason to exist other than Konami being desperate after their all pachinko ventures failed, and now they are desperately pulling every trick out of their bag to get back into good graces. Its why they released the big MGS collection last year and have been releasing all the Castlevania's on Steam too. This is them taking one of their "big names" and double dipping it to also get huge press coverage.

The problem with that is that hardware is volatile and changing, while paper and ink will always be paper and ink. Its pretty simple to just sign off on republishing a book, because you'll have to do zero effort on the work itself.
Porting a game requires a lot of effort at times, both because of "tricks" the original devs used to create it and because of how much tech has changed that just doesn't function with the original. I'm always reminded how DK64 was incredibly laggy on the N64, which the devs worked with, so now the Virtual Console Port is basically unplayable and broken by removing that lag. Or how many games use the Frame Rate as the foundation of mechanics, so going above 30 breaks them entirely.
And reprinting them for their original console wouldn't help if the consoles themselves didn't get remade. All my old SNES/N64 games still work (and most of my CD ones), but the consoles themselves are all breaking and falling apart. With the market for refurbished ones getting smaller and more expensive.

It literally already had a remake, as well. Subsistence changing the Camera is more of a major change than everything in this, or most remakes, combined. It completely changed how the game was played.
That was the biggest issue the game had, and it was literally already fixed. Then they ported the games to Steam not long ago anyway.
Which means both the main "reasons" for a remake are invalidated, and this only exists to milk money off fanboys who will buy anything. Even after most of them swore off Konami once they fucked Kojima, yet will now give Konami money for his game anyway.

It is. I should say most of those tricks only work offline, wherein the setting is more personal and you have control of the social pressures. Online people have completely different faces, have the ability to call in backup, and genuinely feel more emboldened in their propaganda.
