The few atheists on this sub can laugh at me all they want but I have been sincerely praying for his full and quick recovery.

President Trump is our last line of defense from the psychopath leftists in America.

He needs to first be healthy again so he can win re-election.

Let's not get too ahead of ourselves with compiling feminist tears just yet. There is still a major battle we have to win on November 3rd first.

Register to vote and vote like your life depends on it because it does. Kamala's America is what we will get if they rig it for Joe Biden.

Let us do our best to ensure that hell never comes to fruition.

The few atheists on this sub

Are we really few? I had the impression it was nearly everyone.

Not at all, it's the decent thing to do, quite unlike the creatures wishing him dead.

Let us do our best to ensure that hell never comes to fruition.

No excuse for inaction, but hell is coming regardless of the outcome. You think a country can survive with half its people hating it, its people and its history? Not a chance.

Most atheists think this way, then act shocked and appalled when they realize they are a teensy tiny minority.

You probably think this is true because most atheists you encounter are silent about it while a vocal minority are bitter about whatever religion they walked away from.

No, atheists are a fairly small minority of the population.

I'm very aware of that. But I'm not "shocked and appalled".

That's a physical impossibility. As in: the vast majority of atheists are physically unable to stop themselves from bragging about how they are atheists. I know because I'm a lapsed Atheist myself. I recognize the signaling they do. Its ever-present in almost everything they do and say.

Atheists signalling is just one subset of all midwit signalling.

TL;DR you may think you're silent about your atheism, but its easy to read the signals once you know they are there.

I'm constantly surrounded by Jesus Saves signs, there's christian iconography on every street corner, and somehow I'm the one that's vocal about my beliefs? Bullshit.

Maybe in America.

As an atheist, I'd never laugh at someone offering prayers. I may not believe in a higher power, but those who do? If they're praying to that power then they are doing something that they believe transcends conventional methods. That's a powerful statement.

All the counter-culture atheists have swung radically left in recent times. I remember when Atheism+ was nothing more than a joke, but now it is gospel to atheists in the West

By and large, we don't care. You do you, just don't force your religion on us.

The atheists who don't think like that were on the other side of the atheist "community"'s social justice schism, because they wanted to force their religion on everyone else.

I'll never laugh at someone for praying for a person's recovery from illness, but I will always ridicule people who endeavor to replace conventional treatment with prayer.

If there is a God, it is observable throughout recent history that God will not help people through divine intervention. If anything, it is my observation that God works through people.

No, he's their last line of defense against us. They need the veneer of legitimacy occasionally losing an election provides.

Or maybe, just maybe, COVID isn't that big of a deal unless you're already on death's door?

Pretty sure Regeneron (or was is remdesivir) showed no actual reduction in fatality, but it did significantly reduce the time to recover.

So if he's not gonna die, he'll get better quicker.
